A yearly celebration of the UK's massive contribution to world sport. Something that should promote positivity and fond memories. And all some of you can do is slap on your tin hats and spout negative, bigoted and insensitive nonsense.

What this forum has become this year? Really?

It's strange that people express the same opinions elsewhere, without receiving any condemnation from you.

Or this one:
"Good old British public showing again that it's clueless when it comes to judging true sporting prowess...he was in the fastest car for god's sake...pitiful public plebs."

I look forward to your complaint about what Facebook has become this year.

Or are opinions posted elsewhere OK and it's only if the same sentiments are expressed in this forum that you disapprove?

Well I care about the forum. I could not give a fuck about Twitter/Facebook/Youtube. They will always be marred by the bullies telling you just how bad your comment is, how impotent you are and how you should go kill yourself.
Charlotte Dujardin unbeaten all year and breaking records, Gallagher and evans with Gallagher doing 70mph with very little vision are more impressive than mcilroy's 2 major's.

some of the comments on the telegraph and by the golfers are always the same when of their own don't win spoty.
When I think of Lewis Hamilton (and F1 in general), I think of the time I saw him do a pledge piece on Children in Need whilst slathered all over in corporate logos. The berk.

Ronnie O'Sullivan much better choice as winner and not even nominated.

The sporting media all prefer football stories anyway, no matter how hard every other sports man or woman works.
My top 3 was:

Jo Pavey - Getting back to top Athletics 8 months after giving birth and in her 40's. That is inspiration.

Lizzy Yarnold - Gold in the Winter Olympics at one of the most exciting sports.

Carl Froch - 80,000 fans went to watch the boxing match of the year against George Groves followed by his appearance on Tumble!
Sportsperson and personality shouldn't usually be in the same sentence.
I am no great lover of Hamilton. His personality type is Arrogant. He won because he was the last to win his title. People have very short memories. Without his back up team he couldn't get off the grid. Rory winning 2 majors in a year is an amazing feat, as was Jo Pavey's.
I don't watch the show anymore. Not since the BBC decided who you could vote for. And Baulidng is a crap presenter who would still on local radio if she wasn't a strap on merchant....

Yes it's true. The timing couldn't have been more perfect for Hamilton. As you say people have short memories.

But I also think that golf isn't seen as a mainstream sport these days and that consequently a golfer would always struggle to win this award.

and she never shuts the fuck up! Spoilt the Winter Olympic coverage when she did the hosting - we want to watch the sport not you prattle on for fucking hours about fuck all!

Awful fucking woman.
No surprise to see Andy Murray win the award this year.. Even I would have voted for him

But Kevin Sinfield being the runner up was a surprise.
why the kids a damn loser...there are more deserving who didnt even make the top 3 this country likes losers period im not a happy bunny .
