It's because their season doesn't start for quite a while so they have loaned him out to City so he can get in shape and stay match fit, ready for the start of the MLS season. As a new Franchise they want to be up and running as soon as possible.

Yes, but the argument was that it made sense because they have the same owners. Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Man United have the same owners. Is he saying they should swap players?
PSG have issued their annual squad photo and Edinson Cavani isn't in it, leading to speculation about him moving to another club. Some rumours have him going to Chelsea, with Petr Cech going to PSG in part exchange.
Fernandez Esperenda. Thanks I didn't know the clubs were owned by the same people. I can see now it makes sense to loan Lampard out to keep him match fit, specially at his age.

I hadn't realised it was an argument to be honest. I just thought Fernandez was replying to RogerGilford in a fairly reasonable way. Maybe I missed something.

Why would the owner of a NFL american football team put a soccer player in the line up?! Why ask such a stupid question..

The fact both Man City and New York City have the same owners makes perfect sense for Lampard to go on loan there, Man City benefit from it and also Lampard, the owners and NYC as he will be match fit for the start of their season..

The same reason Watford get a lot of Udinese and Granada players on loan as they are all owned by the same people..
If the Daily Express is to be believed, Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Liverpool would like to sign Mario Balotelli. Meanwhile the striker that Liverpool turned down, Loic Remy, may be joining Newcastle.
This whole Ballotelli link came about because a journalist asked rogers what he thought of Ballotelli and he said he thought he was a top player with a good talent..

According to journalists that somehow means we are looking to sign him.. Rolleyes
