A great transfer. Apparently one of the key players on the list of targets van Gaal identified.
he's not even won a single cap for spain, that's a lot of money to spend
I expect if Liverpool were to sell Suarez they are more than likely to have to take a real financial hit on the chin!!

Wouldn't have thought so. If he is out for just a few months he will still have years of banging in 20 plus goals a season. He might be a hard to control nut job but he is a rare commodity in front of goal.
Liverpool won't just sell one of the best players in the world on the cheap because of a mental issue, he has proved that he is capable of controlling his anger issues when he is around the right people (steve peters the guy liverpool used to help him all season) in a place where he feels comfortable, and he proved what an amazing player he is when he just plays football.

Liverpool will either sell him for his footballing values for top top money or will just keep him as the whole team is based around him and is the most important player, too valuble to loose, If he is given the serious help he needs I personally would like him to stay.

Personally I think the ban is Ridiculous as Liverpool are getting punished for something that is nothing to do with them, he was playing for Uruguay at the time, when He bit Ivanovic he was still allowed to Play for Uruguay.. I'm sure Liverpool & Uruguay can offer FIFA a bribe though that will change their minds..

Also Liverpool have failed in signing Moreno from Sevilla after weeks of penny pinching transfer tactics ( guess that gives Ian Ayre more money to waste on another Aspas than spend it on a Quality Fullback Madrid want and who will be great for years to come) Some things never change...

Liverpools 8M signing Luis Alberto is going on loan to Malaga for a full season (8M wasted on another player we didn't need)

Apparently we are now planning bids for Shaqiri and Sanchez (great tactics to wait until after they both have a great world cup when their prices will keep getting higher and higher)

Think i'm going to focus on Porto next season, supporting liverpool is too much of an effort sometimes.. it's not even fun anymore lol

Who knows what they will pay for him. What gets put in a newspaper isn't usually based on real fact....unless they have been tapping into telephone calls Wink
Atleast United are capable of Signing players they want even without CL football, they identify the target, come to a fair price for both teams involved, Pay the money, sign the player, job done..

Liverpool on the other hand, identify the player, scout them for months, announce it too the world, find out the asking price, put in ridiculous under priced bids, wait until somebody else puts in a higher bid, then pull out..

Errr.... This is the same Man Utd who completely messed up last summer, who were supposed to be signing Herrera then, not to mention Fabregas and various others, not to mention paying £27.5m for Fellaini when he was available for £23m only 3 weeks earlier, and ended up making a public apology to their own fans for missing out on their transfer targets.

In this case they didn't "come to a fair price" for the player as you claim. Far from it. Athletic Bilboa rejected all their offers, until Man Utd had no choice but to pay the full amount required to meet the player's buyout clause.
Just broke on sky sports news. Man Utd have agreed a fee of around £30 million with Southampton for Luke Shaw and he is having a medical at man utd tomorrow
