It looks as though the announcement is only a few hours away. Ryan Giggs will take charge until the end of the season, with Nicky Butt as his assistant.
I feel sorry for Moyes with the way it's been handled, with the news being allowed to leak out. It's a bit messy. I would have expected Man Utd to deal with it much better than this.
I think It's been hard on Moyes, but surely he has to accept that he hasn't got the results that probably the board were secretly expecting. I think had David Gill not left Moyes would have had an easier ride but I hope he gets some sort of payoff so he can sun himself somewhere nice.
Moyes has been sacked Sad such a sad day for football Wink

it is, because it means they weren't a title threat with him. Why are you happy?

Because he's a Liverpool supporter.
Louis Van Gaal is the hot favourite for the job now, after Klopp appeared to rule himself out this morning. The only other names attracting the punters are Ryan Giggs and Diego Simeone.
Why bust a gut working for six years for your money when you can just force the board to sack you, and then pick up your £10 million compensation for doing nothing. His cunning masterplan has finally worked out Wink Genius.
I've just heard the terrible news of Moyes being sacked. I ask everyone to spare a thought for poor Norwich City who play Man Utd this weekend and were desperate for Moyes to stay as manager because we need a win at Old Tafford so badly.

It's not the first time something like this has happened in football, but nobody should ever hear about their sacking via the media. Even if he does earn millions, no employee should be publicly humiliated like that.
