Maybe Liverpool will come in for him when Rodgers goes to Madrid Wink
What odds on a lower league club I wonder? I bet if Hernandez at QPR sacked Harry, he'd probably tempt Moyes but I don't think Moyes would even want to come that far south!! Yes def crdit due where it is due he saw Everton beat Man utd!!
First off I honestly think the board did the right thing. I voted a few weeks ago that they had to sack him and I was proved right. Man United sitting in 7th Place with the budget and staff they have on their books in my opinion is unacceptable. It was always going to be a tough act to follow as Fergie was a legend.

On the subject of Alex Feguson being compared to David Moyes. Back in 1986 when Fergie was appointed they weren't the club they are today. Fergie inherited an average Man United team who hadn't won anything in years so was rightly given more time. He was allowed the time to rebuild the squad and eventually took them back all the way to the very top which the fans hadn't seen since the days of Matt Busby.

I also think that the current players have got a lot to answer for but ultimately the buck stops with the manager, he's the one that deploys the tactics. Man United have been almost unrecognisable from what went previous. I also read that Moyes had his players sat in a room for over an hour showing them a DVD on his previous club Everton on how they should be playing, the team clearly did not like being patronised in his manner Surprised
Also the game has moved on in leaps and bounds since 1986. Man Utd is a global brand these days and the owners clearly couldn't take the risk of that brand suffering any further. Football's a business and when you have the branding that United have worldwide I can see why they wouldn't be able to give him any more time. They clearly felt they couldn't risk losing more millions if the summer transfer window was as bad as the previous two in terms of investment to the squad.

I don't know about the DVD but its clear to me that certain senior players weren't playing for him anymore. Sacking the manager after one season may not be the United way of old, but it is the football way of the modern era. There's so much riches to be had in the game these days and money, sadly, talks.
sacking moyes has made man u look like a joke team, i mean they had 4 games left they should have kept him till the end of the season and get rid then. Man u fans are very fickle IMO yes they have had a poor season by their standard look at Leeds for example they were one of the best now they are just a championship mid table team. Fact is that times change, other clubs get better while some clubs go down hill. Man u are far from going down hill.
Man u fans welcome to mid table land.
Fickle? What all of us?? Thats a very sweeping statement. I seem to recall quite a few Liverpool fans wanting Rodgers out and getting rid of Suarez last summer. I seem to remember hearing from many an Arsenal fan how Wenger should be sacked...that suddenly stopped when they were leading the league and playing good football....and then they started moaning again once it went pear shaped. I think you'll find every football team has its share of fickle fans but best not to label everyone with the same sticker.
I'd agree United have not come out of this season looking the professional football club and global multi billion business that they are, but I'd say that allowing the manager and chief exec to retire at the same time, allowing the departing manager to solely appoint his successor, failing miserably in the transfer windows and getting rid of the experienced coaching staff made us look more of a joke than sacking a manager with 4 games to go!
sorry i meant to say some man u fans - was a typo and i was very tired lol. I know man u have proper fans like every club. For me i am a stockport fan (not much to cheer about lol) and from the neutral view and what i have heard from friends etc that i think a lot of united fans need to get a grip. It is one bad season, not a decade or so of downhill results
That's fine and yes there certainly are fickle fans. It's also true we have quite a few prawn sandwich eaters too. That the price you pay for being successful. It attracts fairweather supporters by the bucket load. A season or two rebuilding and a few of them will be off elsewhere hopefully.
Where's the "Ryan Giggs poll" thread now? Big GrinWink
i hope moyes is lying on a beach somewhere laughing his arse off! Big Grin
