He needs more effort from the likes of Mata and Van Pirse
He'll need more than time with the current team and with the greatest respect hasn't got the clout to bring in who they need......
If yesterday's performance is anything to go by I can't see Moyes lasting much longer. At any other club he'd be gone already.
Now Man Utd have got Olympiakos, West Ham away, then Man City at home. I'm not sure that Moyes can surive if those 3 matches go badly. Man City is a potential another hammering, like Liverpool was yesterday.

While Mata is a good player he is not the player we needed. He is best in the same area that Rooney plays in. He has not got the pace to play on the wing. Van Persie is only useful if he gets the service and that is something that's woefully in short supply at the moment.
There is no denying that Moyes is making errors but I still want to see him given time after reinforcing in the summer. It must be remembered this same squad are the current champions...they need to get their overpaid fingers out of their pampered arses and start playing like champions.

But a year older and I think that year has made a difference to some of them. Ferdinand and Vidic are both too old and slow now, Carrick isn't the player he was last year, Evra's another on his last legs. I think it's misleading to say that Moyes has the same squad as won the championship.

Apologies didn't intend to mislead, just stating my opinion. Ferdinand and Vidic as players have been declining for the last couple of seasons. Carrick had a great season last year but has been pretty woeful this season in comparison.

If Man Utd go out to Olympiakos and get thrashed by Man City then expect Ryan Giggs to take over as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
I would say that the Manchester derby is a must win derby game for both Moyes & Pellegrini now,.
Whoever loses that surely will face the ultimate sanction
