Kids are far more clever than any of us ever where as kids, they can guess the pin if they really want to, there needs to be more protection for the parent block, as no one wants a PPV system and would rather keep the FPV system (well even though you pay for sky it is technically is FPV).
Majority rules? How long until gay sex and mosques are banned?
No, in a free society things are permitted unless someone is getting hurt. Who gets hurt by porn at 3am?

Kids are maturing faster?
Difficult to call, but they shouldnt be pushed into being sexualised or desensitised to sex in their early teens, and dont forget, fr every kid who cant get enough smut an innuendo, there will be another who is deeply uncomfortable. I dont want to ban beer and whisky, but dont want 16 year olds consuming them either. Allow the stuff but have reasonable safeguards - not an absolute ban.

Kids know parents PINS?
Thats partly down to the incompetence and lazyiness of Sky. (Cant comment on the other platforms). Theres no reason why the default PIN should be ... what it is. Theres no reason why the PIN that unlocks the horror channel should be the same one used for Pay-Per-View boxing matches or to change subscriptions - one is a viewing restriction, the other is a financial transaction. And the same PIN is used to access the super-special category of adult stuff as well. Thats 3 different uses for one PIN. If I have a 16 year old daughter and a 12 year old son I might want to lock him out of cert 15 material, Movies For Men and music channels while doing his homework. I might also allow my daughter to watchcert 15 weepy movies if hes not around. But by giving her my PIN I hand over control of my credit card and its not a big leap for one child to get the other to pass on the PIN.

Fact is kids probably have access to huge amounts of totally unregulated porn on mobile phones and computers 24 hours a day. At least TV is limited to material that is UK legal and times of the day.

I have suggested to Ofcom on several occasions that there are simple, low cost technically feasible things Sky etc can do to improve child protection. They could put Sky in a corner where they have to improve protection or be seen as the bad guys. Different default PIN (cost: 1 letter per customer). Separate PINs for locked channels, adult channels and account management/PPV (one off firmware update). But Ofcom dont want to know. Its as if the rail regulator said trains should be safe and refused to encourage fencing.

Hate to point out it has been scientifically proven kids are growing up faster.
scientifically, kids are growing up at the exact same rate as they always have, unless a year has got shorter? Smile
Just hope Ofcom don't take this decision as Carte Blanche to start pulling all the channels, I really don't want to go back to wanking over the internet; It's too weird on there what with girls pooing in cups and whatnot. Sad

Hahaha. You'll never get rid of Gay sex, too many MPs are participators, and thats why it was legalised. Now if the channels were all guy, you'd be seeing everything, in da mouth, in da ass. Mind you constituency business would suffer, as our Eton boys would be wanking off all day.Big Grin
The strangest thing about this whole situation is that there has been pages and pages of guff about this situation and in fact the news of the channels having their license revoked even got onto the entertainment section of the BBC teletext.Surprised

BUT!!They are still transmitting and the girls are still turning up for work which suggests the 160 posts before this may all just be a waste of our hot air.It seems extraordinary that the channel can just carry on regardless which also suggests that ofcock are maybe just a bit toothless if they can't enforce a closure?

Also the BBC refers to Tease me TV not Bangmedia so is there a loophole here?
exactly speedybert seems bang can carry on so probably is a waste of time this and the rip bangbabes too since they are still going

Yeah, just what we need - another Babestation bladewave

If the channels can't air the kind of material Bangbabes were doing just prior to them having their licence revoked, or more to the point what Babestar were doing when they were around, then I'd rather the whole 900s were scrapped completely. It's pathetic!

I see what you're saying, speedybert, but the point is that on 902 and 915 they're operating under someone else's licence so have to be ultra cautious about the material they put out. I presume the licence that has been revoked was their own and the one they were using for 912 and 959 - which is where all the best stuff was anyway. So in effect, Bangbabes has gone.
