Only just seen your reply,i do not have a MB phone contract,i wanted to know because i take my laptop to my sisters about every 3weeks to show her all the photos from Australia, but it would have been so much better to access the net,so i would only be using it once for about an hour every 3 weeks,so not really worth it. but thanks to you both for looking for me.Smile
PAYG dongles are excellent especially if you only need occasional internet access whether at home or away.

Most of them came pre-loaded with an initial data allowance and once used up it's up to you to top up any more if and when needed. Note that with some the data allowance is time limited, and if you don't use it within a certain time period you lose it.

Taking "3" as an example, they have a daily top-up option of 500mb for £2.99 but the "daily" bit runs to midnight on the following day so it's effectively two days; alternatively you can have a 30-day allowance of 1gb for £10, 3gb for £15 or 7gb for £25.

You can get a PAYG dongle for an initial outlay of £25 - £30 upwards.

Obviously a dongle contract will work out cheaper for heavier users but it depends on your personal circumstances and requirements (eg £50 up front then 15gb per month for £19.99)

You do, however, need to check the coverage in the area you're going to or will be using it. Many city dwellers get a nasty surprise when they try to stream or watch online when away from home as whilst the signal might be strong enough for mobile phone/text/email, heavy duty stuff is out of the question - and I'm not just talking about rural wildernesses which are far from civilisation - I've been working away these past few months and despite being just 5 miles from the M4 I can barely get a signal (all the networks are just as bad annoyed ).
Since Friday for some reason i have not been able to access the National Lottery site, they say there is nothing wrong with the site, yet on line it seems there are many others with the same problem, all being told like me that it is just us,National Lottery say it must be my provider,my provider after a long and frustrating phone call with auto calls and so called humans, they have come up with i need a new router, national lottery is the only site i cannot access so would they be right.HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh

This could well be the routers fault I had problems with few sites and myfreecams when it would take long time to load and problems with java. Have you tried different explorers like Chrome, Firefox, safari?

what software do you guys use to capture video?
I use Internet Download Manager to rip from the web broadcast in FLV format. Tried converting a FLV file to MP4 but a 200 MB file went up to over 700 MB so you can imagine what a 500 MB file would be like.
