You know for all the shortcomings referred to on here in the recent past at least Sport had some variety; I know others have said this before me. We didn't often get one model spread over two ( or three ) channels. Compare and contrast!

It was also real - even latterly. Definitely suffering from withdrawal symptoms and channel hoppers wrist ( rather than the previous wrist ailment - lol!) - well I suppose you have to laugh.

Oh come on guys how long did you think this could last ??? everybody has their own opinion and this is mine, not going to be rude but this is what i think.
Sport was a terrible channel ! with so many aspects that were just wrong, production, lighting, girls, the list goes on and on ! I'm really surprised it lasted that long.
The Production was a total sham, sets were rubbish seen better oxfam windows, same for the lighting one night it looked like it was shot in my nans coal shed the next it looked like it was shot it the courtyard during a prison break. The Production, well was there any Production ??? even the Sport girls complained about their own production or lack of it.
You only have to flick over to BabeStation, which say what you will about them and their osg etc know how a show should be produced to see how bad Sport really was. your never see a girl flicking her hair while pouting and looking at herself in the monitor for eight hours every night. would the Sport girls have lasted on Babaestion? Yeah, for about two nights !

in fairness i have to agree on most of what you have stated but the girls tried their best

You say Sportxxx should of looked at BS and taken note.
So they should of started:
a) plastering the screen with ads.
b) interupt the show every 5mins with full-screen graphics.
c) advertise fake girl callers and make it near impossible for anyone who wants to call the girls to do so.
d) have someone come on every 30secs telling you about stuff that you can already see on screen.
Fair point that some of the girls didn't appeal to everyone but it gave people a variety of the sort of girls you could see (big, small, old or young), if there wasn't a market for it, then Sportxxx wouldn't of started doing it all those years ago and I beleive they were the first to start venturing into that market.
With regards to pushing the boundaries, at least they had the guts to try and push the boundaries. If babechannels didn't try to push their boundaries, then we wouldn't have babechannels today.
You've expressed your opinion and i'm just expressing mine.

My point is that surely in the final analysis the sets, the production, definitely the OSG's are incidental and the main point is to see and talk to the girls. What is ideal is a relaxed and sexy performance. Not overly explicit, but neither ridiculously restricted by silly rules. We all know what a pussy looks like and all that is needed is for the models to be naked and not have to be contortionists when moving around for fear of a glimpse of between their legs.

On Sport we had some truly beautiful models who genuinely tried to achieve what I've just set out. They are to be hugely congratulated for that. Equally it's a great shame that the channel didn't manage to continue to support them.

After all is said and done, these are businesses and they need to be able to operate in a sustainable way whilst filling a market gap. I now think there is a gap which Sport filled. I for one mourn it's passing.

i can see his point though,i dont care what all of you say if it wasnt for the girls being so audacious on the sport it would have been nothing,poor sets till they moved terrible reception a lot of the time and to cap it all as all the stations do never kept the punter informed of any changes ,just used the girls to do their dirty work for them,all this bullshit a couple of months ago about ofcom tightening up was just a ploy used by the owners which was plain to see because no other channel followed suit,in fact they got better whilst the sport got worse,what i cant understand is why they invested in new studios and started to employ new girls only for them to get shit on, crazy buisiness!

I respected your opinion, up until the bit where you put Ofcom arse-lickers Tamestation forward as the benchmark. I'm trying to be good on here these days, and not do anything that might start an argument for the sake of it, but if this was the me of old I'd be laying into Tamestation like you wouldn't believe, and explaining to you precicely why Sport whiped the fucking floor with them, day in, day out.

And lets clear another thing up while I'm here

If you have ever called any girl who has worked for Sport you would know this, so i can only assume you haven't.
Sport has one of if not the worst reputation of any of the Babe channels !!!!!
I have no idea why on earth you would try and defend a channel which didn't pay it's girls and treated them like shit !
Sport had no other choice other then to " Venture into that market " because no one else would work for them ! and the girls that did didn't want to, they had to because they couldn't work anywhere else.
Sport once had some great girls and were a force to be reckoned with, but once they left or moved on to bigger and better things it was all down hill from there.
And lets face it, the market couldn't have been that strong for the girls they had left, otherwise you would be watching Sport tonight !
