You have to remember, if an older man likes a younger woman he is creepy and a perve (assuming she doesn't like him, then age doesn't matter). A woman on the other hand is a cougar or milf or somehting else equally exotic.

rinser - wasn't she directed to do that for the program? As for the wish list a lot of girls have them, some men like buying them gifts, I suspect she made the list and forgot about it, too much is being made of it.
Big Brother - the girls manage to get her self on one of the biggest and most talked about tv shows in the past 10 years that hundreds of thousands would sell their own granny to be on; not even the civvie version either.

I lost my Dad when i was 13. Neither myself nor my 2 Sisters have ever used it as an excuse for anything and nobody has ever given us special treatment because of it. Danica is a grown woman, not a child.
As for the rinsing programme, she has said since going on BB that she still does it, so she's either very foolish for carrying on with the charade or she's still doing it. Either way, she's the only one responsible for the flak it creates.
