Sod it... as my wishlist analysis in the other thread is being independently audited, I may as well have a go at this one while I wait for the results.

I've got a problem with this statement for starters. I am willing to bet that it takes no more than three or four shifts before this line of work stops being arousing and starts feeling like ... well ... work.

By your logic, there should be a disproportionate share of homosexual employment in any industry where the uncontrollable male libido is subject to titillation and distraction. Put differently, the gays should -- by this infallible logic -- be in charge of strip clubs, porn movies, fashion photography, lifeguarding, pimping, and the lingerie department at Selfridges. Basically, anywhere that a woman might conceivably get her kit off, a gay man must have a competitive advantage. (Makes you wonder why so many of them seem to be working as British Airways flight attendants?)

I have a competing hypothesis. On the basis that "Babeshow Cameraman" is not the type of occupation you proudly tell your Nan about at Christmas dinner, I am willing to bet that a man's sexual orientation is less influential to the industry's hiring practices than a general lack of aptitude in almost any other conceivable line of work. It is a peculiar combination of skills -- facility with a camera, some basic IT, and a total lack of dignity and self-worth.

You are assuming that there is a disproportionate likelihood of finding closeted homosexuals behind the camera of televised babseshows. I don't think that there is any reason to believe that. I do think that the business is likely to attract a disproportionate share of chavvy, bottom-feeding shitheads who were previously rejected by MacDonalds. So the real question is this: are chavvy, bottom-feeding shitheads more or less likely to be closeted homosexuals?

Have fun with that one...Smile

Even just claiming to work at a babe channel would be evidence enough to some people that a man was straight, so I don't think Afroman would need to do anything else to pretend, if this was the case. He could just claim that ofcom is the reason for the tame shows.

The taming of the channels IMO is due to both Ofcom and due to the producers possibly trying to convince us to pay to watch cam sessions without giving away too much on the TV. Also, in the past, Afroman has allowed some of the most daring sessions to take place, so...

agree mrmann, some of the best/daring shows elitetv/s66 have ever done in their existance have pretty much always seemed to have afroman as the producer or getting involved in someway.

No. I am not saying that if one is in a profession that is likely to lead to arousal from women it is then better to employ homosexuals for the job. I am saying that I suspect that the Babeshows cameramen do incorporate a number of homosexuals for the very reason that they have gravitated towards that profession precisely because they can maintain their professionalism without unnecessary distractions with libido.

But, of course, this is just a theory. I am sure that there are many cameramen who are in that profession for precisely some of those reasons that you have just mentioned.

ETA: I am not saying that these cameramen are closet. They have no need to be, other than the normal social issues.

I haven't yet gone back through all of the previous posts, so not sure exactly what the augment is about, but just thought i'd add a bit of info about gay producers/camera men working on the babe channels .

Way back in 2009 i think it was, a Cellcast producer said live on TV that quite a few producers and camera men that worked on the babe channels were gay, Cellcast used to have a dating show back then called "Casual action", it then changed it's name to "Space Party", a few of the Cellcast night and day babes used to work on the show, as did Cellcast/BS producers, a BS/Party People producer nic named PT Party boy (real Christian name Jason) used to work as a presenter on the show, he said himself live on screen that he was gay, and that quite a few producers and camera men who worked on the babe shows were gay.
Anyway just thought i'd mention it, Jason was a good producer of Party People on freeview as well if remember correctly, and used to get involved with text messaged sent in by the viewers .

Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

Babes sitting on desks and lying on beds while phone waving seems to have become the norm across the board unfortunately.
Exciting sets have gone by the wayside Sad.

I took it as her way of pretending that nothing goes on behind the scenes, as her response was to a person who asked her about whether he feels up the women.

Just to stop all this nonsense i decided to ask a girl who has worked with him in the past, the answer?
