3 days in and not a single Russian boot has entered Kyiv. If even a small percentage of reports are accurate then the Ukrainians are largely ignoring the initial advance and targeting the supply convoys following behind and inflicting heavy damage.

Lots of images of Russian APCs parked up at the roadside after running out of fuel. The Ukrainian MOD have set up a hotline so Families can speak to captured & injured Russian troops. A very clever move, it's not so easy to hide the prisoners & body bags these days.

USAF E-8 JSTARS, RAF EC-135s & NATO E-3 AWACS have all been orbiting over Poland & Romania with their transponders on ( they show up on tracking sites) and it would appear that we're supplying the Ukrainians with intelligence on Russian movements.

RAF Typhoons & Voyager Tankers have also been visible on tracking sites coming back across the North Sea after taking part in the 24 hour Combat Air Patrol over Poland & Romania.

Poland is moving a lot of weapons to the Border to keep the Ukrainians supplied. A Polish Air Force C-130 came into RAF Brize Norton last night and picked something up, possibly more Javelin Missiles.

Some of them occasionally go offline so don't read too much into it if you get a black screen.

Not well at all. Certainly not according to plan. I think Putin expected it to be all over by now.

Very debatable. Without knowing Putin's exact aims it's hard to know what the correct strategy would be. If his priority was to quickly topple the Ukraine government then trying to take Kyiv would make sense.

I mean if they bypassed Kyiv and carried on where would they have carried on to? Ukraine's a pretty big place with a population of 44 million. It's going to be tough for Russian forces to occupy the whole country.

I concur with this assessment.

Well yes. But it hasn't happened so it is starting to look like a mistake.

They wouldn't need to go that far. Create a 50 mile exclusion radius and wait for the food to run out.
That wouldn't look at all good either, especially back home in Russia, but that's looking at it from a purely strategic viewpoint.
Internet access has been blocked in areas of the Ukraine.
So Elon Musk has now announced that he has activated the Starlink satellite internet service over Ukraine.
When asked about fleeing Ukrainians wishing to come to England, Kevin Foster the Governments Immigration Minister said on a tweet that they can apply for the UK’s seasonal worker scheme (e.g. vegetable picking) to qualify for a visa.

He has since removed the tweet. bladewave
