Thirdly, the award they're asking for suggestions for appears to be some sort of special recognition award, and nothing specifically to do with us, or the Babe of the Year award.

On the first point I really hope u are right, but why then post the tweet they did that makes no ref to the vote, it just doesn't make any sense, why can't they just say what u did on here, it would be so easy for them to do,

On the other point, exactly why make no ref to us or the vote , don't u think that seams very strange, why not say some awards are being voted for but we have a few special ones that can be nominated on DM, that would stop the confusion straight away,

I really hope u are right mate and there is nothing to worry about , I just find it hard to trust them after the tricks they pulled last year, hopefully I am worried About nothing and when they do the awards it's all fair

What confusion? It's just a tweet asking for nominations for a completely different award.
They need to give info on what this award represents

Why? What right do you have to this information?
I see they have posted to 18 October date on the forum today, days after it was on there social media, we really are an after thought to them, non of the info about where it's taking place again the bare minimum level of contact,
seems to me they are very reluctant to promote the forum on twitter. Have they ever referenced the forum or posters contributions to the award noms? In public they seem embarassed by the association. They like that we help with the donkey work but don't like admitting our help.
I think The tweet shows their true colours, They wish to make out the votes are all wide open for the twitterverse sake and not half selected already.
Since we're in the business of pointless speculation, you do realise it's entirely possible it's just Admin running that UKAP Awards account here...

how is it speculation, they have not stated on there twitter that this forum is voting on 2 of there awards that is simply a fact, also how is it pointless to outline perceived disrespect for fellow posters? i dont understand where you are coming from,

and if what you say is true it actually makes the situation WORSE, So the actual people behind this are either not bothered enough to thank posters in person on the thread not just thanks for your vote but actually coming out and giving a statement as to how happy they are with all the help and telling us as part of the vote process fully what is going on or if 'the forum' itself is behind UKAP as you say and is there for being two faced about its own members contributions in public, i dont think this would happen which is why i am not sure about what u post.
Either way who ever is behind the UKAP for them to be trying to distance themselves from who's created the nom's lists is not nice. why do you really think that the forum and UKAP are the same thing and what has made u think this,
Rolleyes You're going to give yourself a coronary over this.

I know I don't have a right to the information, all I am saying or asking mate is this : -
I would assume it is a recognition/Life Achievement type award for which there is either a public vote for it, or is it just a industry vote only? that is all and they should have made it more clearer, whether it is public vote or a industry vote. and would we be allowed to vote for it.

I agree so why bleat on here about it? If you saw it on social media then contact them that route because as far as I can see it has nothing whatsoever to do with the forum.

I find the blatent bias against the UKAP Awards from a very small number of posters completely out of order, disrespectful and pretty close to bringing this forum into disrepute. They've invited us to be involved for the last 2 years in a small part of their awards and in return some people are constantly sniping and inventing conspiracies.

Get a life!
