That they get a tally in the 250-300 range is amazing enough. If 57k people interacted in every thread every day, it would be chaos and most people would give up and leave.

I was just slightly disappointed that about only 0.5% of forum members voted.
Posting ideas as to how that percentage could be increased should've been my approach, I'm sorry.
Of those 57,000 members, how many of them are active?
If you look at the first dozen pages of the members list alone, you’ll see that a large majority last visited the forum a number of years ago, indeed in some cases, 10 years ago.
I would seriously doubt we have more than 500 active members at this time, therefore I’d say the number of voters represents a good ‘turnout’

57,000 would fill a decent football ground, if they'd all arrived at different times, some already left/banned...

If you check the Forum Statistics page it tells you how many members have been logged in during the last 24 hours. It's currently over 900.

I’ll not dispute that. But how many of those are lurkers? How many actually make contributions to the forum in the form of postings or uploading vids or pictures?

The current answer is 573 out of 922.
That's only in the last 24 hours of course. If you take the figures for the time this thread has been going (just over 19 days), the number of members who have been logged in is a total of 2557 of which 1421 have posted.
