It must have been a case of copying the name, which wasn't unheard of at the time. The same thing happened with the Geisha, one of the early clubs in Old Compton St, as after its closure another club with a different owner but the same name sprang up just around the corner in Moor St.
Hi,
Today I was out with some friends and we were discussing some of the places from the 1970s in Soho

One person mentioned The Starlight Club now none of us new of it, but our friend said it was in one of the streets running parallel to Charing Cross Road e.g. Dean Street,

I had never heard of it but it has a "Sounds Like" name and I think he was confusing the name with another club

Does anyone know anything about it
Yes I remember seeing the Starlight Club although I can't recall now which street it was on. I know it was on the northern edge of Soho, just off Oxford Street.
Hi

Please see attached image of the Focus1 Cinema on Brewer Street, the closed restaurant is familiar but for the life of me I do not recall the Cinema.
Does anyone have any information please

Hi Andy,

To be hones not sure the description is it but the image is of the corner of Walker Court different image from mine

So still unsettled
I think this is the right place. Here are some re-development pictures from July 2014, July 2016 and July 2017.

Compare the windows of your picture to the ones here. The right hand building is Starbucks.

Hi Andy

Many thanks and yes I am in agreement, for the life of me though I can recall the restaurant but not the cinema, must be my age lol

Again many thanks
Great work by andyjb. It's the correct place I'm sure, well done.

Incidentally, the sex shop to the right of the cinema was previously the site of one of the early strip clubs, Arcadia Striptease.
I reckon Soho has probably changed beyond in all recognition from it's glory years judging from the above photos
