The players let him down this season.

It appears that the statement 16 days ago of the board's unwavering support for Ranieri didn't really happen, as all reference to it has been deleted from the Leicester City website. The whole thing must have been in our imagination!
At least nobody can delete the history which Claudio Ranieri made.
Looks like player power cost Ranieri his job too : -

Not surprising that has been deleted shows exactly how much of meltdown there possibly is at the club too - will the FA go further and wipe Leicester's win from the premiership records too? Tongue
The man will always be a legend amongst Leicester fans and should never be forgotten. The reasons for why this has happened and discussion about how the club have gone about their decision can wait for another day. Today I just say thank you for the memories and making something happen at my club that I never thought to be even possible. Thank you Don Ranieri
Well, I hope the players are feeling proud and can look themselves in the eye in the mirror this morning. Utter disgrace.
Wonder what Nigel Pearson thinks of the situation? Seems like panic in the Leicester City ranksSadSadSad
On current form Leicester were certainly going down, so I don't think the decision's as big a surprise as many people are saying.

There's no replacement in mind apparently, so it doesn't appear that Leicester's owners were planning to do this, and their statement 16 days ago bears that out.
If you are going to do it you do it before Christmas as it gives a new manager the transfer window. Any later than that is a waste of time.

The players who are there are not motivated to push on in the league this year it is not necessarily Ranieris fault.

They were going well in the champions league and with 14 games left had time to stay in the league.
