Yup. That series was one of the best ones, about 4th or 5th

Totally right Wacawoo it's channel 5 that decided to go down the showmance and never ending conflict angle. I think channel four went down that road once in the 5th series. They decided to get the most obnoxious, confrontational, self absorbed dickheads they could find, thinking it would boost ratings, which ended in disaster. They ended up being once bitten twice shy as a result.
Channel 5 also I believe were the first to get reality tv contestants on CBB. Literally having people famous for bring famous. Their reasoning being they would know how to make entertaining tv. I think channel 5 turned big brother from reality tv into contrived tv.
It's a real shame they did that. It was Originally a very good concept. Obviously it needed a few changes after so many years. Just feel that channel 5 over stepped the fine line between making reality tv more entertaining and
Making contrived television.

Channel 4 gave us Jade Goody! And her mother!

Tell me Channel 5 have had anyone worse than either of those two?!

Been like that ever since it's been on chanel 5. They seem to think arguments and romance is entertaining I assume they are aiming it at the georgdie shore audiance.

Good call. Totally forgot that series. Jade Goody was a classic case of being a celebrity out of being famous for being famous. I stand corrected. That could have been a very good series as well. They got the celebraties to wait on jade and her family which pissed a few of the contestants off. It also was the start of pc going stark Raving bonkers when Gordon Brown had to reassure the indian prime minister we were not a racist nation. Shows you how much the show has declined in ratings. Can't see other head of states taking an interest in the affairs of CBB now.

The series with Gade goody was probbaly the best. Kate Lawler, Johnny, Jade, Alison Hammond etc. Don't think I rememeber any argueing in that.

Has for arguments in the celeb version, there wasn't the stiring that channel 5 do, they just let things natural arguments escalate for entertainment purposes. None of those arguments need have got to that stage, one reason I think big brother was more guilty than Jade and heap loads more hypocritical.
