Still catching up with recordings of Glasto shows: Charli XCX was great, as you would expect, but 15 minutes is pitiful coverage
Paloma bloody Faith got a full hour.
Paul Weller's show was pretty good, though he really seems to have blotted the Style Council out of his CV. Surely a balmy summer's evening would have welcomed "Long Hot Summer" or "You're The Best Thing"?
I see from last night's highlights that Mary J Blige did a show!
Somehow 15 minutes of Charli XCX seems fortunate by comparison. Could have done with more of FKA Twigs, too.
Mary J Blige >>>> KanYe West.
Watching that Ginger Baker Documentry on BBC 1 now God he is a Grumpy Sod
Caught up with Metallica's 2 hour headline set from last week's Reading festival
I even knew about half the songs
Why the BBC can't be bothered putting song titles up when they do for Glasto & T in the Park, IDK. Some of us are old
Watched a great documentary on Lemmy recently, not a huge motorhead fan but well worth a look. Called Lemmy
Sky Arts had a couple of good shows on the Jam last week (or 2 weeks ago, I forget) - one a new doc, the other a 1980 concert from Germany. I was impressed they got Weller to talk so fully about those days, though unsurprised at this vehemence over a reunion (he doesn't need to, of course). Not read Buckler's book yet.
Awesome New Order gig for BBC6 Music on the IPlayer
Weird that i hated New order Joy division and the smiths at school in the 80's all the weird kids listened to them love them now
I expect you are referring to both, as the iPlayer version is 30 mins long, whilst the iPlayer Radio has the full 1 hour set.
Nah was the Video performance that i downloaded from the BBC iplayer on Sky which is 42 mins long
might listen to the Radio player version later
