It looks possible that Eurobabes were losing a lot of their established Continental viewer with their UK compliant output.

I'd have thought that the EU would have a standard set of viewing rules within their member states. As it seems that UK regulations oppose the EU trade rules.
Sorry Welshken,

it was not better as Studio66 or Babestation. No way..... A boring Show without any hot Shots, yes i spent the 2 Credits. I really hoped they must get hotter in the Web now, but no, they still pathetic...
A few thoughts on the above posts.

1. "Everything hot will be an exclusive". I do not see that working every night - they might try(and would want to since it removes one issue about the free-loaders) but on a show where you have the newer models there is a 'selling point' which is not so with the more established girls. I still do not think that Ofcom regulations would allow such blatant website promotion so that, in my opinion, is why the 'experiment' has been ditched.

2. "Standard set of viewing rules". Not exactly. There is European-wide legislation but that dictates that each country has the right to determine its regulation. But that is itself extended that the regulator in the target country can influence the content beyond the regulator of the licence-holder. So Ofcom dictates what can be shown in the UK and Germany dictates, to a point, what is shown in the rest.
About point 1, we perfectly agree. The main selling point that ETV will undoubtedly cling to is that you're not seeing a "random" girl naked, you're seeing "Lara" and "Jasmine" naked. That is, after all, why they're currently adopting this system solely on Wednesday nights, the "night of the newbies" (translated: "night of the girls that only get naked in Exclusive shows"). The problem with this new venture (at least in the first times) is that you have to give a "Premium" to the customer. For the newbies, such as the aforementioned Lara and Jasmine, it's being naked whereas they wouldn't strip on "FTA" TV, but I struggle to think what will be the "bonus" with most other nightshow models, such as Roshana, who clearly doesn't intend to do more "risque" poses, or Penelope, who will not be fully naked whatsoever. I'm worried that most models might be in a dangerous "gray area" (topless only but also in the Exclusive, or completely naked but without more explicit poses) that won't allow any bonus to be obtained from them.

This is especially risky because the more a customer pays, the more he feels (rightly so, might I add) entitled to see something more.
I don't know what's going on, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's been some sort of disagreement/issues between Cellcast and ETV concerning the broadcast of ETV on Sky 945.

I find it rather odd that BS/Cellcast was promoting the launch of Eurobabes for all their worth, BS were posting stuff about "new beginnings" and "a exiting new show starting on 945", or words to that effect etc, .
Then all of a sudden around 3 or 4 days before it launched they dropped the promotion completely as far as i know, and they don't mention it at all now .
It makes me wonder if Cellcast originally wanted more input into the broadcast of the Eurobabes show on Sky 945 and also broadcast it from their own websites as part of their line up of web shows ? .
Also i wonder if Cellcast are OK with ETV promoting on TV their web stream that broadcasts harder content than what can be shown on UK Sky TV ?, do they think viewers may watch ETV via the web instead of their own harder web shows ? .

Maybe ETV is just off air on Sky while BS and ETV try to sort a few things out concerning their broadcast agreement on 945 ?.
That's just speculation by me of cause, so it might be miles of the mark lol .

Anyway if ETV is off UK Sky TV, then there is a existing ETV non Sky TV chat and discussion thread for viewers that watch eurobabes via the web stream or via non UK Sky TV satellite systems http://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.ph...pid1624062

I'm guessing it was a technical problem on Cellcast's side, bearing in mind that they had technical problems already which delayed the launch of the channel.

No guys, I don't think so. There must be an issue preventing the channel from going on air, but I don't think it's a technical one. More likely it's a business issue between the two partners to this venture or else it's simply lack of calls.
This channel may have been and gone without me even seeing it. If I get curious enough I can always watch ETV on the web though.

It certainly should. Rolleyes
I found a reply on their wall regards some concern about the 'exclusives'. It makes interesting reading and confirms some suspicions of the way they are heading.

"ETV Team: We are working on ways that will allow us to separate the signal and picture for the shows for SKY UK, HOTBIRD, ASTRA and Internet and until this is done Exclusives will be possible only on Wednesday, for now. When everything is ready we will implement the exclusives as a continuation of the TV shows. Here is how it will work: Firstly when a performance starts to get hotter, the UK signal drops and is replaced by a neutral “calmer” camera, during which the show continues as always for the viewers of HORBIRD and ASTRA. At certain point, when the usual TV performance plays out, the signal to HOTBIRD and ASTRA will also be switched to the “calmer” neutral camera feed that the UK viewers see. At the same time the “hot” show gets transferred to the “Premium Show/ Exclusive” section on our website where our models will build upon the performance they were making and this “evolution” of the show will be available only for our exclusive viewers on the website. This way, we hope no one will be in the position of being left on the shelf. The regulators in England will be happy, the viewers of ASTRA and HOTBIRD should be satisfied, because they get to keep watching the same shows they are used to and the paying viewers on our website will get something extra within the night program, which will be the new addition to our service."

Now the only missing ingredient is 945.

On a side issue regarding the promotion of web-content, I commented earlier that if Ofcom allowed it then all channels would do it. Surely there is little or no difference to BS's view-on-request 'naked-chat' which is not directly promoted on screen to ETV's 'exclusives' which are. Since they are now going down that road that could well be the breach of contract that keeps them off UK screens. Another own goal.

I think there is a difference with the BS naked chat room, in that it is an adult service so can't be promoted during daytime tv, which is non-adult only.
