Just been reading the posts on the liveshow forum and this channel is seriously taking a battering, also a lot of their hardcore supporters post on that forum who have spent heavily on ETV throughout the years.
My prediction is that ETV will crumble under the pressure, I will tune in again tonight to see if they decide to ramp the show back up. I think they have interpreted the ofcom rules more strictly than any other channel in living memory has ever done.
The only way for a successful transition to SKY TV is for ETV to go it alone and put in some sort of basic encryption which I've already spoken at length about in a previous post. Mr Mystery it's unusual for me not to agree with your posts but when you said it went as you expected not even I thought it would have been as bad as turned out.
We also have to be objective about this, the blow that regular ETV viewers/callers have taken has hit them hard, it's the equivalent of say our channels deciding to broadcast to the far east and with it in comes new rules that topless shows can no longer be allowed.
I understand their reasons for not wanting caps & vids on the forum now.
If i was responsible for that load of old shite, i wouldn't want any evidence either.
The 'acid' test comes later.
Last night we had softer models who, with encouragement, become warmer.
Tonight we have their 'stars' and we all know when stars appear don't we ? At Night. And these 'stars' need little encouragement.
Back in 2008 I was listening, via my friend, of the reaction of her colleagues to the then new rules. The gut reaction back then was 'Great ! Now I do not have to take my clothes off to make a living'. And that particular model never undressed again even when in the night-shows except for once which could well have had more commercial logic.
Unless they have altered their policy, ETV pay their girls somewhat differently to over here. They all work on a percentage basis - the more we (ETV) earn, the more you earn and the 'hotter' girls earn slightly more again. Could you imagine UK girls working to that plan ? But it then follows if the call and SMS income dries up then so does the model's income to the point where it may not be worth their while and look for more 'normal' work.
There IS a solution. Splitting the studio has been tried and does not really work in the current concept. They appear determined to go along the path that if you want to see it then you all have to pay for it ie the 'Exclusives' What they fail to realise that there are only so many 15 minutes you can fit in to 4 hours. Those 15 minutes do not even cover the equivalent hire time of the satellite let alone studio costs. And here's the crazy thing. That 15 minute exclusive is cheaper to the requester than a VIP SMS so it even makes the channel less unless they get a shedload of additional paying punters which I doubt.
But the studio can still be split. It does not take a brain surgeon to work out a solution that keeps all happy. If they want to hear it though they will have to ask me. And, again, it is something they have already done. They just have to engage brain for once.
Why do I care now ? Ultimately I do not. They, like any other business, are the masters of their own destiny. You can not blame regulation for that since for years they took full advantage of a very passive regulator. But in any army it is the foot-soldiers that always suffers due to the bad decisions of their generals. And it is the rank and file that deserve better.

I know that.
Maybe you were around when I harraged them so much that they cracked and challenged me to prepare a script for one of their shows.
And I did just that which they dutifully ignored saying it could not work. Except some months later part of my idea actually turned up in a show.
I do not expect them to react after merely one night. They will expect their faithfull followers to bed down and accept the changes. And it will take a month or more before it actually hurts them - in their bank balance.

The Blonde is Roshana and in black Kia (with ponytail) or Kristina

Post Scriptum: One of my all-time-favs was Melissa (anyone remember her ?). After she left the tv she had 'em done. Pics appeared in a local magazine plus a video.
Well tonight's selection all look like they're being held at gunpoint and forced to do the show. It's absolutely pathetic!
