Sam Curran goes for £1.85 million to become the most expensive signing in IPL history.
^ Deservedly so too imo.
His death bowling is just tremendous.
He will be a huge asset to the Punjab Kings who have generally flattered to deceive over the years.
Mark Wood won the Player of the Match award taking 5-14 for Lucknow who beat Delhi by 50 runs in match 3.
Lucknow and Gujarat have been excellent additions to the IPL for sure.
Kane Williamson is out of the rest of the tournament after sustaining a knee injury playing for defending champions Gujarat Titans in the match against CSK.

Big blow.
^^ Absolutely gutted for Kane who has missed so much cricket over the last 2 years, battling with an elbow issue, which all added up to a loss of form. He was just beginning to get back to his batting best before this setback. As white-ball captain for the Kiwis it could be a race to get fit for Octobers 50 over World Cup in India where his experience gained in the IPL should be invaluable. The full extent of the injury is unknown, but seeing the incident live it looked nasty, knees can be notoriously difficult to get right. I wish him all the best in his recovery, a big loss to the game.
Mark Wood took some punishment today, but still picked up wickets, with 49-3 from his 4 overs.
