Cases of covid have been reported from both the current venues, & the BCCI are considering moving the whole tournament to Mumbai. The new schedule would require double-header matches & the likelihood that the Final being moved to June.

Wondering if the Final itself should be played in Abu Dhabi or Dubai where both the teams can bubble safely. To me they should have done as England did with their tests last summer and restricted movements of the teams two just one or two venues and kept the crowds out.

Better late than never, should have pulled the plug on this much earlier, now they have the issue of getting players & staff back home.
How many Aussie players are still there? I know there some Aussie citizens there that can't get home for fear of being jailed.
I think it was always going to be risky to carry on playing, but it should have got pulled once cases were rising.. More than likely the England players will isolate first before going home, but doubt if there is even a safe haven in India where they could isolate safely before flying home and without risk.
Wonder now if the summer series here will be put at risk as India are due here 4th August so I am now certain the ECB are monitoring the situation closely and will be pencilling in a replacement if India pull out or will they shorten the summer series to just New Zealand.

Been suspended indefinitely. Not surprised & should have happened sooner

I think it was mention today that there were around 3o Australians in this years IPL. I'll have a look.
Discussions about completing the remaining fixtures in the UAE, are imminent. Most likely from September - October.
