heres a quote from the article from the operative of Anonymous
Brown adds that “more is coming” and Anonymous-aligned hacktivists are pursuing a joint effort with others to “damage campaign raising abilities of remaining Democrats who support SOPA.”

Since the people who owned Megaupload have been arrested I'm not sure how they're gonna get the site going again from inside a prison cell, not to mention their assets have been seized, not only all their cash but all their files and even their domain names.

True but If they did it right megaupload should have back up servers in another country ready to go
Oron doens't work with sky

Filesonic and netload are the best. I think they are in contries that don't give a fig.

Ironically just this morning I downed Nights of Cabiria criterion, becasue it had been took off all the other servers except mega since that was the safest. laugh

I suspect that if the law provides, it matters little what country a host is based in, Russia included. Particularly when it comes to corruption or money laundering (which is being suggested as the possible motivator behind the raids/shutdown), where I would imagine law agencies in different countries would work toegether. MU also had servers in the Netherlands - which were raided, along with their US based locations.

This page features a lot of comments that provide a range of interesting (as well as conflicting) info & views, including some relating to the vested interests of various parties involved, as well as some of the possible actitivies of MU. http://torrentfreak.com/megaupload-shut-down-120119/

Weird as im on Sky broadband and i use oron
No Megaupload + 995 dead links = retirement.
America land of the freedom right?!
I did use megaload for download links mainly as megavideo and megaporn you had to pay to be a premium member to have download links added and I always found with both of them it could take ages to upload a video but the quality was very good and no irritating spinning circles you get sometime with video bam but the good thing about video bam is comes with a free download link, have all them mega sites gone out of business or just megaupload? yeah I may have to use filesonic now Cool
Well another company that is going to be inadvertently affected by this, is MyFreeCams.

As I would say the majority of models on there sold video's of themselves, and used MegaUpload or MegaPorn to host the files. Now at 200 credits on average per video, then that's going to be a bloody lot of lost revenue to both MyFreeCams & the models. Surprised

You suddenly realise just how widespread the impact of this could be. It's going to affect millions worldwide. Surprised
