Ofcom's view on Sky/Freeview for these channels...

If I had not seen her on the webshow in the past, I would have not known who she was. The mics were not working at all last night, twice when Candy used it and again when Amanda was speaking. We could not hear a word they were saying.
Candy's performance was spoilt by the poor camera work, as said above, the sideways arse view, not one shot of bum to camera.
Overall it was a poor show. The other 2 girls on were Sarah Lou and Amanda. Amanda was in full Tamestation mode. If I was her, I would refuse to appear on the freeview part of the show. It does nothing for her reputation. I saw her earlier on the webshow where she was very good.
If I was moderator of this part of the forum, I would be tempted to change the title of this thread to "Bang Babes on Freeview is Crap"
As I posted earlier, I just want to see Donna and then I'll not bother with channel 98 again unless I see reports of an improvement.

BTW I got a couple of minutes of Early Bird at the end of my recording. The mic was ok then as Emma Spellar introduced herself.
The mic problem has occured on every freeview bangbabes show so far. They seem totally incompetant at fixing it. I did wonder if its on purpose and they expect people to ring in and report the mic is not working.

The mic situation is just getting stupied now. I taped channel 98 from 3am to 9am and the only time the mic worked was on Early Bird everytime Emma Spellar used the mic you could heard her.

Another very poor show on Friday, I thought.

Just to clarify, is the rubbish that we’re getting on Freeview also going out on $ky, or have they decided not to compromise 2.5 hours of $ky output, so they put on a special, Freeview only show instead?

A bit OT, but I’ve been so disappointed by BB Freeview, that I checked out Tamestation for the first time in quite a while; What the fuck happened? It seemed even worse that when I last viewed it, and the picture quality, on PL and, in particular, TS, was appalling – have they dropped resolution, or something (not that it matters, given that the content isn’t worth watching)? As poor as BBF is, and it’s extremely poor IMO, it has vastly superior picture quality.

Like The Watcher, I’m not sure how much longer I’ll bother with BBF, unless there is a dramatic improvement; sadly, there seems to be little indication of that happening anytime soon. Still, it was a week today that we had a (relatively) good show; maybe they think we can only handle one per week, so, will this morning actually be worth watching? Probably not…

That contradictory statement seems to suggest that Ofcon is applying separate, even more restrictive rules for Freeview, even though there is only one broadcast code, which does not make a distinction between different FTA platforms. Imagine, Ofcon making up rules as it goes along, and not applying its own censorship code correctly; There's a surprise

Logically, this would suggest that there is no chance of a decent channel on Freeview?

To be honest I don't see why there is even an issue here... Sky originally provided the platform for adult shows in the UK. Sky costs money, Freeview is free. If you pay for Sky, you should expect better content. If anything Sky viewers are gonna be more pissed off by the emergence of Freeview crampin the style of the shows.

You don't need sky to watch, They're FTA

Had a quick FF through this morning’s show and, generally, it seemed better (or should that be ‘less bad’) than most of this week’s output, if still far short of $ky strength. Contrast what Amanda was almost wearing on $ky with what she wore on Freeview, for example; Still, the mics seemed to be working, for a change, which allowed us to hear the following exchange:-

Amanda: (Referring to what they got up to to on $ky) You got wet
Donna: Because you kept spitting on it
Amanda: Donna, we’re going out on Freeview, darlin’ !
Donna: (coy/shocked look) Oh, yeah…sorry.

Still, the babes had clearly been told they could loosen up, a little bit, which begs the question, if it’s OK last Saturday, and to a lesser degree Monday & this morning, why not all the time?

The 2 girl content, though tame, was still better than what laughingly passed for 2 girl on TS, for months, and BBF is only 10 days old, so credit where credit is due.

I guess that 'Freeview beggars can't be choosers', so to speak

I wonder if this Sunday will see a return to ultra tame, like last Sunday, or will this be a small step in the right direction?

I was under the impression that the babe channels were FTA on satellite? If so, you don’t have to ‘pay for $ky’, as you put it, unless you are talking about the one-off payment for equipment & installation; remember, despite its name, Freeview is not free in those terms either, you still have to buy a box, or an IDTV, and potentially, a new antenna, which many people would have also pay to have installed, though it is easier to self install a TV antenna than a satellite dish, even though the latter is still quite feasible. Also, it is not always merely a case of money; some people cannot have a dish, so they have no option but Freeview, so why should they suffer additional censorship?

As for $ky viewers being more pissed off, yes, they should be annoyed at content being compromised by also going out on Freeview, but just think of the vast amount of content they get that doesn’t go out on Freeview; I know which I would rather be pissed off about!

No idea what has happened regarding the picture quality of BS, but since they had a bit of a revamp and bought in BSXtra, there has been a definite decrease in the picture quality of the other channels. BS1 in particular a few nights ago when Karina was on, the quality of picture was awful.

Bore Babes had a real chance to grab some of the disenchanted Freeview viewers when they started, but they have done next to nothing to capitalise on that. They have bought in a couple of ex BS girls who do absolutely nothing for me and are just channel changers, in fact their main saving grace they have is the stunning Toni. I kind a wish she would post her shifts in her thread so I would know when she is on and to record her. I have only seen Nicole and Cate Harrington once, and I liked them both but sightings appear to be few and far between.
