Very disappointing not to see any sign of Bang Babes; looks like we're stuck with Cellcasts’s efforts Sad

Talking of which, given that they will now be on high channel numbers, and grouped together, is there any chance that we’ll see an end to the seemingly interminable Freeview censorship that Cellcast have inflicted upon us for (upto) the last 6 months? Also, is there going to be any changes to the broadcast hours?
There seems to be a rumour to that effect:

Anyway I've just read this on Amandas blog;from Anonymous today at 3.00pm. He says;did you know that from 30th September you need to retune your freeview boxes, the babe channels are getting their own section,Smile TV2 will be on channel 94, Smile TV3 on channel 95, Babestation on channel 96 and Partyland on channel 97. He also says that he has been told that from this date there will be no difference in adult content between Sky and Freeview! I do hope this is correct as I think its only fair;however its probably best to reserve judgement until we see the "new" new shows after that date. I do think however that some nights shows are far superior to the shows only a few weeks ago! It sometimes makes a difference who is on;CAMILLa or Amanda for instance but I think they are improving! I just thought you all would like to know this. Lets hope it is correct!

Quote:Every UK home with a Freeview TV or box (including BT Vision and Top Up TV recorders) will need to re-tune on Wednesday 30th September.
Quote:Top Up TV will no longer be broadcasting their Anytime channels on the Freeview Channel service.

That I assume means that the Top Up TV Anytime channels from 38-41 will not be seen on the EPG. Haven't heard anything about it myself, but I'll keep you informed if I hear anything.

The shuffle of the freeview channel numbers has been in the planning for several months. It's an attempt to supposedly bring more order and logic to the channel listings. It's not a way of inventing new channels.
I think it is, because one of its stated aims is to make room for Freeview HD channels. I have also read that there will be a new ITV1+1 channel.

I think the HD channels will only be available after digital switchover. They start in the Granada region in December.
This was in my TV mag last month

How does rearranging the numbers "make room" for more channels?

Surely after the rearrangement the amount of room available will be the same as it was before?
The extra space only becomes available after the digital switchover.
That is the prime reason for the digital switchover. Some of the extra space will be used by freeview for HD and extra channels. The remainder will be sold off to the telecoms companies for non-tv use. I assume frequencies and channels need to change so that all the TV frequencies are together and the frequency range to be sold off is not fragmented.
Some more info today about the forthcoming changes
