I think it'll be one of those really tense affairs like at The Emirates last Sunday where the atmosphere was eerily quiet as every single person hung on every single pass. It's a unique atmosphere that only shows itself at this time of year and it's truly horrible. The only thing worse than enduring matches like tomorrow's is NOT enduring them because your team is in no-man's-land just counting down the days until football's equivalent of the Summer holidays. I thinki the title is a very, very long way from over; let the games begin!

Wrong Bigguy! One of this morning's papers said that Beckham has been given special dispensation by his club LA Galaxy (£492,000 per week I believe) to attend the Royal Wedding next Friday, just 48 hours before his club's match! Having seen the painfully-thin Kate Middleton close-up I'd say it was Prince William who should be worried for his bride as Beckham sure likes 'em thin!

Dammit! I can't believe Webb's out of tomorrow's crucial match against Everton! Hopefully he, along with Hargreaves, will be fit in time for the Arsenal and Chelsea matches. If yourself and the other 30-odd thousand scousers studied the performance of England's most recent World Cup-winning football man instead of hurling abuse at him you might learn something about winning medals yourselves!

never has crossed my mind gaz. cos why would some1 pay out of their own money to stop some1 telling lies about them? she could face jail for a start so im sure she has got plenty of proof about the affair and thats why the injuction has been took out by the footballer to stop the truth getting out and hurting his family.

Maybe to stop the impact it would have on their family/children by printing some tarts fantasy of what happened, as with most of these kiss 'n' tells it his word against hers but for some reason everyone believes the scum of the earth tart that would sell that kind of story.

She won't face jail for telling lies but she will have to pay damages in the form of monetary compensation for telling lies and so potentially damaging the sportsman's reputation in the eyes of society

Anyway NO court would EVER grant an an injunction in favour of someone because the other person was telling lies about them to try and damage the sportsman's reputation. The injunction was only granted because the footballer whose identity is sealed was shagging imogen thomas. She only said it was lies because she does not want to be seen as a dirty cheat and skank

If someone is telling lies about them then there is no damage to the sportman reputation because everyone knows whatever said about the sportsman was a lie and false and not true. So because it is a lie there would be no damage to their reputation, and so there would be no need for an injunction to be granted. An injunction is only granted if the story is true, to protect a sportsman's reputation because it is not in the public's interest to know about his personal life
