Seriously though the papers need to fuck off with all this shit who cares what people get upto in their private life the only reason this is being made big news is because a footballer is said to be involved if it was just a tv actor & or a high profile judge then they wouldn't give a shit & as for the Daily OK mag or whatever it's called the only reason they're talking about it is because they want to make a star of a former big brother house mate & a two bit slag who's allegedly noshed off Potato face.

a few weeks ago master yoda mentioned ryan giggs and the example he set to other footballers in this country. i agreed as well as some others that hes stayed out of the papers and just got on with his football and thats why he his still doing well. now we know the reason why he has stayed out of the papers, its cos he pays a judge so many thousand pounds to keep him out of the papers is that libel?

No I am not. But I have met Nadal and you can tell just by talking to someone what they are like. Plus Nadal still lives with his parents and family even though they recently got divorced. His Uncle coaches him and is therefore by his side 24/7 for 90% of his tennis matches on the tennis tour. So I'm sure that he keeps Nadal in check.

And with the tennis tour the biggest holiday they get is the christmas holidays which is for like a month before the tennis season starts again with the Australian Open. They don't have a massive 3 or 4 month break between seasons like footballers do and can go enjoy themselves. On the tennis tour they travel all around the world monthly. They don't play once a week because in a grand slam they end up playing 5 times in two weeks. Tennis players don't just keep playing in one country like footballers do in a league. If anything, with the schedule and the amount of travelling that a tennis player does I have great respect for tennis players.

Seriously if Nadal is ever in the newspapers for the wrong reasons I will never have faith in any sportsman again.

Na mate it wasn't like that lol. I was just voicing my opinion on the comment on defamation because I studied it last year in Tort Law. And then the whole privacy thing and my opinions on whether the papers should scrutinise a sportsman's life just took off from there really.

Normally I'm pretty chilled out on this thread and honestly enjoy the banter mate.

I'm revising for my final year law degree exams right now so I'm in the lawyer argumentative mode lol. Didn't mean to get so technical though with the law stuff on the previous page.

Wish I could go enjoy the sun and play football but unfortunately I gotta revise mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe all the traveling aids in tennis players keeping out the papers, it's only really this country that loves to see the downfall of any famous person and a 'sex scandal' about a tennis player wouldnt really sell that many papers. The fact he lives with his parents means fuck all, as you say he travels for most of the year.

Fair point about the parents thing because yeah you are right he ain't living with his parents if he is travelling around the world playing tennis.

But often his mom or his dad are in his support team and travel with him to nearly every tennis tournament and so does Rafael's girlfriend.
