I notice that the EPG on ch99 is now listing Live 99; if correct, this would mean the FV has lost TS2, once again?

I think so, as I understand that Sky 909 is PL as it was a few nights back. Looks like FV is once again reduced to only two full-strength BS channels.

I don't mind getting Live 99 back, as it has different babes and a different feel from the TS channels. However, why have they ditched what was, arguably, their best channel? Why not get rid of ‘Xtreme shite’? It’s the reason this channel ditching started in the first place.

I agree that Live 99 gives us a sligtly different feel from the BS channels, but to me it isn't different enough to compensate for losing BS2. It's almost as tame as PL, although it's usually a bit more generous with the oil, and it has only two girls who really appeal to me (though that's a matter of personal taste, I grant).

On a wider front, Live 99 is supposed to be the same as Live 960, which Bluebird claims to have bought, so that would seem to add fuel to the theory of some sort of power-sharing between Cellcast and Bluebird.

Coalitions appear to be in fashion at the moment!

Ella and Lolly were two of the original PL girls and only came into the wider scenario when it moved to its new channel number (and, if I remember right, a new studio).

Oh ok, that was before my time. It still doesn't alter the fact that Cellcast are making a complete mess of things again, and just when it appeared as though things were back to normal and possibly showing signs of improvement.

Also, I think Lolly was the original PL girl (if there's such a thing ) - I remember her making a brief appearance on the old freeview PartyGirls show (roughly from 3:00 to 3:45 in that clip) to promote the launch of PartyLand on freeview.

Geez, how do you remember things like that? Those were the days.

But watching that clip has re-emphasised to me how 'samey' the various channels are now. During that 'era' you could switch to PartyGirls, or PartyLand, or PartyPeople, and recognise it instantly for the channel it was. I think I liked it better then, when each of the channels had more of a distinct character

Yep, and it made it easier to make choices if you had to, rather than go through the traumas BigB endures every day.
