NFL 2023-2024 Season

Lions 42 - 17 Broncos
Somewhat of a surprise was the dominance of the Lions over the Broncos. Jumping out to an early 21-0 lead, the O-line dominated as the established the run which opened up the passing game as Goff threw 5 touchdowns.

Colts 30 - 13 Steelers
After an early Steelers lead the Colts score 30 unanswered points, built around a strong running game, Minshew had 3 touchdowns.

Bills 31 - 10 Cowboys
This was the big game of the week, & the Cowboys didn't show up, the Bills gameplan was to run the ball, James Cook had 25 carries for 179 yards, Josh Allen completed just 7 passes for 94 yards. The Bills had 28 1st downs to the Cowboys 14. Prescott was ineffective.

Next week it's a NFL salivation fest.

The 11-3 49ers face the 11-3 Ravens.

Browns 20 - 17 Bears
It looked like the Browns did their best to lose this one, a crazy game, with Flacco racking up the yards but also interceptions. Another outstanding defensive display saved the day. Given all that the final play Hail Mary almost snatched the game away from the Browns.

It was a big comeback in the 4th quarter down 10 for the Browns
My Heart stopped when that Hail Mary was in the air (and when Mooney had it for a split second)
The Browns have been getting breaks this season, I won't lie
After many years of the those sort of games going the other way, I'm happy
One Step Closer to the Playoffs :

^^ I think the Browns get a decent amount of neutral support, as a Niners fan I am fully aware of the rivalry in the AAFC & proud of the help we gave when they rightfully re-joined the League as an expansion team. They seem to get the underdog tag, I just like their no bullshit approach, never trying to be flash, even down to their uniform & no-logo helmet, I'm no expert on Cleveland, but I get the impression that the team reflects the place.
One thing's for certain they will never have an easy ride in the AFC North, it's so highly competitive with no easy games.

Seahawks 20 - 17 Eagles
The Eagles suffer another loss & are on a 3 game losing streak. Hurts had a poor game with 2 costly picks. Credit to Lock as he held his nerve in a game winning drive. I imagine there will be a Quarterback controversy in the future, Lock looks a player to me, & he has a chance of taking the starters job away from Smith at some point.

49ers in good shape now for Home Field
One game lead + the Tiebreaker is huge

After last season, the 49ers look hell bent on revenge

^^ I could still see the Niners losing 2 of their remaining 3 games, the Eagles have a softer schedule & could still snatch the #1 seed.
