I've moved your posts into the General News thread. However you look at it I can't see the virus as being responsible.

So congratulations to Boris and Carrie on the birth of their baby boy.

I hope that he don't have Boris's hair, or looks or brains.
But maybe he should have his dads brains as mum ended up will Boris

it is relevent if he comes of nearly a month off sickness to go off again for paterninty and next he will be taking time off for a honeymoon when he acutally marries her

i'm glad the baby appears to be healthy. that's about the best i can do.

I think he said he is going to take time off as paternity leave later in the year and I think that is when he will marry her at the same time.

Some people can't seem to tell the difference between seasonal workers and immigrants. You can't make a full time job out of fruit picking unless you follow the seasons round Europe, which is what some of these guys will be doing.

Even now with many people looking for short term work, I can almost guarantee the half of them wouldn't show up for the second day once they discovered the reality of the job was a world away from a Sunday afternoon stroll round the local pick-your-own.

Just to return to the fruit picker story, here's the conclusion, showing once and for all why farmers rely so heavily on foreign labour for their harvest, even at a time when so many allegedly capable british workers are supposedly available and raring to go and do these jobs :

112 out of 50,000! and as already stated, you can bet a fair few of those won't see it out when they realise how much graft is actually involved

Yes millions of people on furlough, yet very few of them want to take a job as fruit pickers.
It's my understanding that they can keep their furloughed pay and the fruit picking pay, minus the extra tax.
