It is illustrative of all sorts of things this, so it bears a little retelling I think...

Any 10pm starting FV babe channel must be licenced by NICAM not OFCOM (as the latter don't allow FV shows of this type on before midnight). NICAM told OFCOM several years back that they refuse to make moral judgements on their licenced programme content (implying that they agree with most of us here that that's what OFCOM are doing with their regulation of the babe shows.)

BS can show what they want (practically - HC would probaby invite the UK authorities to rewrite the rules again. !bladewave! :rolleyes: ) on FV at any time. The fact that they don't tells you that the channels simply don't actually want much more freedom than they have.

BS can't show this same content on the Ofcom reg'd Sky channels although BS could get a NICAM licence for these channels too if they wanted. In fact all babe channels could be under NICAM rules if the operators cared to make it happen. :rolleyes:

NICAM are a Dutch regulator and have the general libertarian outlook of that country. You can thank our membership of the EU for these little anomaly shows. (Although Ofcom have implied that they will allow the current situation continue, when/if we exit the EU properly. This has nothing to do with the shows though - it just suits Ofcom for other reasons.)

Yes quite a disappointing night! After the early technical glitches we heard (on MTB) the mic announcements from Babenation and later on from the webshow! And there were a few SHORTISH duplicate show snatches.
But the biggest disappointment was Jasmine!.............

I can't get FV TV so I have no idea about these shows.
So are they just showing pre-BSX toned down stuff between 23.00 and midnight before the encrypted ppv content starts?
