There's a best possible and a wost possible finantial situation.

It's states that the worst possible situation would be a decrease of 2% of GNP, but it also says that the best possible case would be a 1.8% increase. This all depends on trade agreements with Europe.

So what they are actually saying, if trade agreements were inplace with Europe then Britian would indeed be better off out. But there's the rub, it depends on the trade agreements with Europe.

Sounds like there's been a bit of Swiss style blackmailing going on to me.

Stay in Europe, if not, we will not allow trade agreements.

In recent years Iceland has been taking more migrants per capita than the UK. There is also a higher rate of unemployment amongst immigrants in Iceland than there is in the UK: http://icelandreview.com/news/2015/05/29...nguage=en.

So immigration not so good for iceland they?, and what
? they have a partial thing goign on like the nords?

Not read all your links yet, it's finance, I have to brace myself. eek

RE: Europe..IN or OUT??
^ Just referring back; I was trying to make the point that these 'model' countries that people say we should perhaps emulate in their dealings with the EU each still have their struggles with the issues that we are discussing. (The last link has many facts irrelevant to this debate and is included only as the reference for my statement re. unemployment data.)

Pertinently, yesterday Boris Johnson reiterated Canada as a country we should look to in terms of it's trading with the outside world. David Cameron was predictably unimpressed: http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/video-...32166.html

I suppose a best case scenario would see a staggered move away from the EU with us emulating bits of different countries' solutions during the difficult transition period.

---

Another not immediately obvious financial implication of Brexit: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/eu-referendum-w...ad-1548706

The idea that the babeshows "are not that deep" is driven by those that don't wish to acknowledge how much effective customer service and a consideration of psychology impacts users' future interactions.
