I was in a cafe at lunch a few weeks ago and a bunch of blokes came in, one started talking about how he was in a crowd being bussed somewhere and one of "the team" piped up that he liked the ladyboy shows. The revelation was met with a tumbleweed moment. Perhaps he was hoping the others would turn round and agree, but nope, not a sausage. (Unfortunate phrase).

There are several channels that baffle me, but I avoid negative comments because they must hit the button for someone. I can hardly say I want to watch stuff that other people find grossly offensive (hot babe on babe action, offensive to Daily Mail readers and born agains), then slag off something because I dont like it.

But what was very noticeable was that the, er, specialist channels, only took off after Ofcom clamped down. Suddenly there was a lot less money to be made from chocolate box pretty babes keeping their kit on, not flashing, not having gurl gurl action and definitely not touching in the penalty area, but there was a small but dedicated group of people out there with unmet needs and wallets crying out to be emptied.

At this rate in 10 years time the babe channels will all be specialist and the line up will look like this:
Mature
Rubenseque
S&M
Lori (she will never go)
Ladyboy
Bearded
Tattooed
Bad boob job
Anorexic
Amputee
Giantess/horsey
Bald
7 women of restricted growth
plus one channel dedicated to exotic foreign ladies:
Scottish

Strange to think minority interests could be subsidising our viewing.

They just won't say to Ofcom that they can be trusted to put on a good show so they play boring as its just easier

They cant. Any babeshow that qualifies as 18 content is breaking the rules. The limit is roughly equivalent to BBFC 15.

I'm continually surprised that, after the last couple of years of tame crap, they're still around today, but how much longer can it go on like this?

^Could we see a change in tempo/output after the Election is over and Labour (with SNP in tow) are in power? Or will we see no real change? As far as how much longer babe channels will survive at the current rate it is possible we could see an end to them probably in five years' time (worst case scenario)

No - last time around, some people (bizarrely, and despite many, myself included, saying that they were deluding themselves) thought that when the Tories took power, they would end Labour's censorship - well, that worked out well, didn’t it!

All parties in power, whether left or right, are beholden to the media, and moral minority pressure groups, I'm afraid...

Having said that, the Tories seem determined to withdraw from the ECHR (not to mention the EU), so things could get even more repressive, should they be returned to power
