Or why isnt anyone mentiioning in March 1st 1979 when the scottish Nationalist party helped Thatcher get into power in the first place. Because it was there 11 strong Mp's that first tabled a No confidence in the Callaghan Labour Goverment and then Sided with the tories so Thatcher won by a single Vote !! Bringing her to power So if the SNP blame the tories for thatcher it was them who created the monster in the first place !!!!

Thats the problem the majority of the UK detests him but they dont have a say in the Referendem its the 4% of the uk population that do thats the problem ie half the scottish electorate

Asda Just announced that if theres a Yes vote more than likely the cost of goods in there stores north of the border will have to go up due to restructuring of the business that would be needed this comes after John lewis announced something similar yesterday and morrisons have said it before basically

As well as RBS planning to relocate because of lack of regulation and No Lender of Last resort status north of the border sounds like Lloyds will follow suit Clydesdale bank said they will do the same . Standard Life already planning to move because most of there 3.4 million customers are south of the border

If there was a No vote would that mean they can't have an other Referendum on the issue?

I guess that will mean that they will have plenty of room for new housing estates then if RBS & such move their businesses south!!

I am not disagreeing with these somber predictions and have read all the same stories today. I do think they are somewhat meaningless at this stage in the game though.

What the 'no' campaign has only discovered at the eleventh hour is that all of those warnings are like background noise to a committed nationalist and a provocation to the undecided voter with nationalist sympathies.

It is like they are speaking two different languages. Independence is a big, big idea. It is epic stuff. It is shifting tectonic plates. When you think of it in those terms, you can easily rationalize away even the most frightening prospect because none of it amounts to a hill of beans in the thousand year history of a nation.

You can't have one side talking about a huge, sweeping historical narrative and the other side fretting about purely short term consequences, most of which are total speculation anyway. They will never meet in the middle. One guy has his head in the clouds and the other one is stuck in the mud.

Yesterday, Cameron beseeched voters not to vote "yes" as a means to kick the Tory party because this vote isn't about the next few years, it's about the next 100 years. Good point! Thanks for lesson in democracy, Dave. ... So why the %$&* did you spend the last two years trying to scare people into voting "no" with doom-and-gloom scenarios about the price of eggs at Tesco!?

there can be another if there is a no vote would proberly happen if the EU one goes thru and we decide to come out the SNP might try another one then

I read in the press today that North Korea is backing the yes campaign. With friends like that who needs enemies.
