When you think during a period of just a couple of years you had girls like Kandi Kay, Candy Sexton, Ella Jolie (still functioning then, see recent excellent posts from Dan Volatile), Dionne Mendez, Camilla and Paige Tyler on - I'm sure others will add their favourites I've missed! In addition existing BS girls such as Tiffany, Lolly and Georgie were arguably at their peak. With all due respect to the current crop I'd feel hard put to assemble a similar list now.

And to be fair, HP, Rammy and myself were only voicing ours!
I think there's always an element of thinking things are never as good as they used to be, but I think in this case there genuinely was a halcyon period for BS which is probably never going to be repeated. One reason for this perhaps is the fear of Ofcom there is now - girls could get away with a lot more, both in 2-4-1s and in solo performances, and this must have an effect where producers are breathing down their necks shit scared that they might show or do something that could fall foul of the morality police.
