The weather is going to play an integral part in this I'd say, from hereon in. The chances of England winning this & possibly the outcome iof the whole series hinges on the 24/48 hours. If the forecast as predicted is right, An England win will be frustrated, and Australia will retain the Ashes with 1 to play.
The test's started at 11am today. Mitchell Starc is fit enough to bowl, but the first 45 mins has belonged to England as they move on to 436 for 4.

Stokes has just made his half century
England lead by 275. A great 76 partnership for the last wicket between Anderson and Bairstow.

Baistow 99 not out. England 592 all out.
At stumps Australia are 113-4, 162 runs behind.
I fear the rain forecast for days four and five may scupper things Sad.
Play is underway and Australia have moved on to 132/4.
Tea.
Aus 214-5
61 runs behind.
^ Ironically, the light came to England's aid as it forced (yes he was ticking at the umpires) Stokes to turn to M Ali ( I was quite loud at the TV shouting for the same - more so for Roots involvement) - and more importantly, J Root - far more effective - with the quicks really getting no value! Marnus - having done the hard yards - giving it away again! Rain now again, but surely 5 nuts from somewhere over the remaining day and a bit, to - at worst - leave England with a smallish chase!
Australia retained Ashes after final day washed out. What's ylour solution to this sort of thing happening?
Just pure bad luck having near enough the last two days washed away pity would have set up the final test to be fireworks
