Mox is number one ranked for the world title so he gets a by to the final no point in having the ranking system if they don't use it,
I don't think it's a battle royal to determine the 3rd man but a knock out tournament they are holding every TV show between now and the next ppv,
NJPW nave a ppv coming up where Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Hirooki Goto to see who goes to fight for the aew belt,
So the final will be Mox v Takahashi v tournament winner,
I wouldn't be surprised to see Mero as the 3rd man as would elevate him being in a world title match ,
Let's be honest Takahashi isn't doing the job for anyone so the 3rd man's job is to look at the lights so needs to be someone who will benefit from the rub being in a match that big will give him,

there was talk before the punk injury that Tanahashi would win the proper belt and take it to Japan for the summer to give it more legitimacy and legend, i think now thats even more likely,
