my review of Beach Break a special show booked like a PPV
match 1 - Tag Team Battle Royal
i am not a fan of battle royals as there is to much going on to follow proper,
it was actually a good match just not to my taste,
it did move a number of stories along
Guevara and MJF are heading for a show down after Guevara was screwed again,
Good Brothers showed up to screw Private Party over before there match on impact that the coms team put over a lot, the most they have talked about impact so far,
Top Flight and The Acclaimed both got to do more than i was expecting ,
Jericho and MJF won
Darby Allin and Sting Address Revolution Street Fight
this was a A+ promo and a lessen in how to do them Sting was perfect, Tazz was perfect , Darby looked cooler than ever,
it also sold the TNT title match next week with the returning Janela
job well done by all,
match 2 - Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker
they been building this match for months and it was excellent i relly liked it, to to workes with great chemistry,
bakers best match in aew, Rosa looks like a great babyface i really hope aew can do a deal to use her more, i want to see these two work together lots over the next few months,
match 3 - Hangman Page and Matt Hardy vs. Chaos Project
This was a glorified squash match thats only real point was to sell the story of greedy businessman Matt trying to manipulate Page into joining his empire,
this is interesting and will hopefully lead to Page getting his confidence back and standing up for him self,
The Wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford
this was a bit shit after all the build up they didnt do a good job,
wrestling weddings are ment to be crazy and this was not sadly, it was all very predictable and the writers where trying to be to clever,
the only highlights where Father James Mitchell hosting it and Ford looking very sexy,
i did like that Miro was wearing the same outfit he did when Roman Reigns broke up his ceremony with Lana in 2015 that was a nice touch i hope people go it,
match 4 - Lumberjack Match: Lance Archer vs. Eddie Kingston
not as good as there first match, i dont think the Lumberjacks made things better,
it would have been better as a street fight, Archer won so now both men can move on , can see Archer heading back to the main event as a babyface not sure where Eddie is going now
main event - Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix and Pac vs. Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers
this was a great main event and saved what had been a very average show,
this match ticked every box it was meant to
Fenix showed hes the hottest young star in the business, check
Pac reminded everyone he is a main eventer competitor, check
Moxley and Omega intensified their rivalry, check
and was topped off by a great surprise in Kenta debuting and shaking wrestling again,
so for a show that was booked as a near PPV it was not great only the womans match on the under card was good
but the main event was excellent and made up for all the dross before it, how often dose that happen everyone remembers the main event and nothing else lol,
