^can only assume you mean the UKAP website mate?

If they had kept in house on the forum exclusively, I think it would have been a big feather in the forum's cap and the vote would have been fair and intense and supported by the members

A nice touch would have been to have made that vote an exclusive vote to forum members only on their site that way they know we voted. i'd actually forgotten about this vote as well tbh

Maybe UKAP now needs to explain why they never kept the vote exclusive on the forum or if they still plan to make it a forum member only vote on their website...

My guess for Daytime it will be end up a straight fight between Mikaela, Fernanda and probably Hannah Claydon
and fully expect Dannii to walk away with the night show Babe award

Let me know how many of us have casted votes before I cast mine...
Forum response would be for us to hire the UK's biggest pub for own forum awards night and show UKAP how passionate we are about the babes and how we do awards...

There a 10 girls left in each award. We should have 1 vote each for each award. The girl with most votes in each competition wins. Simples!

We decided to accept this ‘radical’ proposal. Smile

With the voting system we basically had 3 options on the table, and these were as follows.

1. To have two more rounds of voting. This would mean having a vote to reduce each of the two fields to a shortlist of 4 nominees, and then having a second vote which would be a straight choice of the winner from those remaining 4. This format was favoured by winsaw, but his argument seemed to fall on stony ground as only Charlemagne offered any support for the idea.

2. An alternative vote in which the voter would rank some of the girls in order of preference (perhaps each voter's top 3). The girls would be eliminated one by one and once eliminated their votes could be transferred to another girl. For example, the girl who finishes 10th in the first count would be eliminated and her votes transferred to each of her voter’s second choice girl.

3. A straightforward first past the post vote as described above. The girl with the most votes wins. We decided to go with this method as it keeps things simple and it’s also what we’re using in the other UKAP Awards. We think an alternative vote format has some advantages, and that’s why we had it in mind, but ultimately we’ve decided to shelve that idea for the time being.

We were and we still are very appreciative of the 260 forum members who voted in the first round, and we want to take this opportunity to thank them again for their much valued votes. However, to determine the winners of the two awards we are hoping to get more than 260 voters to participate and that's why we decided not to keep the voting exclusive to the forum.

UKAP Awards are generally regarded as very prestigious and to maintain that reputation we need to be able to present awards that are decided by a good voter turnout. Although the forum did a great job in drawing up the nominee lists, it seems likely that we could generate more interest in the final votes by not continuing to restrict the voting to members of the forum.
Would any forum member be allowed any entry to the awards ceremony itself?

Ah I see.
This is all a touch unfortunate.
Had this process been planned and explained in full from the start I get the feeling less good will may have been lost than I fear to be the case.
Had it been framed in such a way from the start as 'We want you forumites to decide the final contenders' before we expand the voting to outside the forum as well I suspect the sense of value felt at forum level would perhaps have commanded more pride and sense of consequence.
It would have made me feel as though I had played a small but important part in a structured and fully planned process.
As it is I fear it may be viewed in some quarters as a token gesture within a make it up as one goes along type process.
I absolutely applaud the purpose of the competition and have no doubt as to it's significance and prestige. And I thank you for it.
It is however a source of regret that a slightly sour taste now lingers through the whole process having not been completely clear from the off.
I speak as someone well versed in running comps myself.
The major part of the battle to my mind is always explain the format in full from the start to cover all rounds because if this does not happen and the idea emerges that it is being made up as it goes along it looks inefficient to some and suspicious to others.

Nonetheless I hope the comp is a big success and thank you again for it.
Not announcing on here that you were going to open up the vote to the public before you did it is a pretty big faux pas.

Yes there will be some places at the awards ceremony for forum members.
What a disappointment of a response from ukap,
Just reinforcement of the fact they have been making it up as they went along from day one, no though as to who is eligible, what system will be used and to then change where the vote is happening and not tell anyone lol what a joke,
Honestly got no trust in this vote and will find it hard to believe that it's a fair result, and as is looking quite likely that it could be won by a girl who is anything but the best girl on the shows ATM it's a bit of a joke vote, not one to go shouting about if you are the girl who wins it, which is so sad as they could have had something special here that would have really ment something,
If I hadn't have noticed that tweet would anyone on here be any the wiser that UKAP had dropped the forum like yesterday chip paper I would guess not, got the feeling that they only came here to try and increase traffic to there website and when that didn't happen they lost all interest in this place,
It may have been a smaller number of votes than in the other categories but as they are from the real hardcore fans, the true experts in the babeshows if you will, it would mean so much more,
