Not sure this should be in news or not.

So the mother fecking, pieces of sniverling harrasers of the sick and disabled are still at it.

Few years ago I was placed on low rate mobility indefinately, it appears what they mean by indefinately is untill they decide to have a name change.

So if you or anybody you know are in receipt if Disability Living Allowacne this is being completely stoped for everybody between the ages of 16 - 64 and I mean completely stoped.

You, or they, should receive a letter, it is a very thin easy to miss brown envoloped one, read this carefully. You have to apply for the new bennefit, in my case by the 28th feb, if you don't the bennefit is stoped, even if you do, I think it will be stoped within 4 weeks or something.

This is FOR EVERYBODY, even if you have been put on the bennefit perminantly.

They are going to treat it like a brand new fresh claim and you, or they, will be assesst from scratch again, and we all know what that means don't we.
Sadly the whole system is being 'revitalised' (great name for it..not) and all benefit claims are changing.

I heard that all payments for every benefit, fit or not, will soon only be paid monthly, not two-weekly as they are now, which should cause a few problems for the drinkers, druggies, and others less able to budget out there.... It's hard enough to budget these days when you earn a decent living wage, much less the more often paltry amount you receive on benefits.

Though I receive child benefit for one school age child I still work part-time, the tax credits helping to keep the bills paid, but only just. The system is a joke for those of us trying to do some form of work, as well as those unable to due to illness.

Not all illnesses have obvious visible signs, while psychological ones are even harder to prove...? For once I feel your pain wacky.
I have no idea how this harrasment is allowed. With no challanges.

A person left the job centre a few weeks ago having be declared fit for work and died on the way home.

I did actually receive a letter about 18 months or so saying mine was changing but haven't heard any more about it I did the online test one time and answered it honestly, mind you and scored very low which meant I didn't qualify for it and I also did speak to the DLA people about it and they assured me that mine wouldn't change which confused me a little.
So still getting the lower rate DLA so probably might end up having a letter through my door at some point asking me to go in for a reassessment we'll have to see.
The rate of my DLA is also causing havoc with my application for Buss pass since I an deaf and cannot drive so the only way I can support my application is through a doctor's letter for this which I'm currently waiting on receiving to send with application
I've 75% loss in left ear an nothing in my right ear which also causes balance problems

I will update if I get any more letters on this but mind you would be just as wary about any letter dropping through my door from the DLA that may be fake

I totally agree Kelly I think this payment scheme will still be open to abuse by some people who will probably claim for illnesses they haven't actually got no matter what which in turn impacts on those with genuine claims
Yeah father will be up for renewal bloody bastards only a year til he gets his pension. worried though as he has a motability car if he loses that then he becomes confined to the house

I blame the BBC every morning there's usually a benefit cheat programme on. if the BBC spent more time Demonising Tax Avoiders than people on benefits. of course there is benefit fraud but the goverment spent more time and money than on Corporate tax avoidance which could really help the country

I also wonder how much did the tax credit people & DLA actually recover from people who made those false claims and also how much may never be fully recovered in the last year which I bet is less than chasing the companies who didn't pay tax and individuals who didn't pay tax like Jimmy Carr for instance
The level of benefit fraud is 1-4%, but as you say, the press and telly suggest it's more like 80%. This government has been demonising the impoverished and unemployed for years, I don't know how anyone on such benefits would keep voting for them.
its stupid the system because a majority of people who have benefits taken of them usally get them back on appeal anyway think it was like 70% of ESA appealents had there benefits restored and back payments had to be funded not to mention all the costs of bringing the appeals to tribunial its false economy
