With the success of all the British golfers in the Masters there's going to pleasant problem as to which two of them will be picked for the Olympics this summer.
Ireland has a simular problem with 3 or 4 players in contention for just two places.
Four-time champion Tiger Woods has confirmed has pulled out of next week's Masters because he's not tournament ready
The Masters has started tonight. But it's without world No 1 ranked player Dustin Johnson because he was forced to withdraw after suffering a back injury in a freak fall at the home he was renting for the week.
In the opening round Charley Hoffman shot a stunning 7 under par 65. He had a 4 shot lead over the field
It is a shame Johnson isn't playing. A lit bit of an anticlimax. Still it's great seeing so many British Golfers doing well. Admittedly not the ones I thought would. I though Hatton and Fleetwood would be in the mix. Couldn't be More wrong
Willett missed the cut. Ah well, it seems to have been a mixed-up show so far, only Sergio "about time he won something big" Garcia lending star power to the top of the leaderboard.
Sergio's on track for his first major Smile
Apparently if he survived it would be Seve's 60th birthday Tomorrow. Surely it must be written in the stars that Sergio wins his first major?
Justin Rose scores a 5 under for the round to bring him back to co-leader.
But Hoffman is still out on the course
