I think it's unfair how Liverpool are being punished by association, but Suarez can have no complaints, really.
Should have recieved a life ban, which can only be revoked if after phychiatric tests proove his is mentally stable enough to play again, there is no reasonble excuse that makes what he to any of his Three victims acceptable on or off the pitch,i also think he should face criminal charges of assualt for this unprovoked attack.
Brilliant footballer but he needs help. I believe the ban should have been the maximum which I heard was 2 years. This is his 3rd offence so what does it take to get the maximum punishment. I agree it might seem harsh on Liverpool but they bought him after his first offence so knew the risk. After his second offence they had the chance to sell him and now unfortunately he will be missing for over a quarter of the season as well as probably having his value reduce by £20 million.
A dog would have been put down for biting someone! just saying three times now - should have been banned for life!

Also agree he should face criminal charges if you or I did it in the street - we'd be locked up!
Enough is enough. He's done it 3 times now and you can be sure he will do it again. Ban him for life and set an example.
Seems like a fair punishment to me but i would like to have seen a bigger fine, £66,000 is peanuts to him really.

jesus christ when will this ridiculousness end?

yes it was a horrible, inexcusable and disgusting act but was Chiellini ever in any real danger? no, of course he wasn't. you're far more likely to sustain a serious injury from a headbutt (Costa) or elbow (Sakho) that we've seen at this World Cup already, both went unpunished.

Suarez brings it on himself the extra press and no one is to blame for it but him. yes the media jump on everything he does with extra outrage but why give them the ammunition for it?

as for the people saying "a dog would be put down" etc, well I'd put them on the same level of intelligence as said dog to be honest if they can't see how utterly fucking stupid such a comment is.

Hadn't realised that was the fine. So about 3 days pay I guess. Wonder if Liverpool have a clause in his contract to not pay him if he got banned for this offence again?
it could have been an english defender so easily if we played them the last game of the group and he spat his dummy out cos they needed to win. then he really would have got it if he played in england again. i think he should have got longer as its already been mentioned by a few cos its the 3rd time hes bit someone, so obviously the help he has been getting isnt working.
I think a good dentist could do the trick by taking all his teeth out!
