Investigation of the passengers aboard the plane has turned up nothing to suggest that any of them would have known how to fly a plane. This seems to confirm that one of the pilots must have been at the controls when the plane switched to a different heading.
It's starting to look like an Al-Qaeda inspired operation to carry out a 9/11 syle terrorist attack.

It's time to start being scared of what might happen next.

One of the pilots hijacked the plane. The point at which it disappeared was masterful - right at the Malaysia-Vietnam handover. I'd say he headed to Afghanistan. Perhaps the plane went down in the Indian Ocean, but perhaps he made it to his destination.

If he did make it there is a really BIG problem. The plane can easily be used as a long range kamikaze cruise missile. If it's still in one piece then someone needs to work out how to find it. Who knows what horrible payload it could be used to transport? Chilling.

Terrorists engage in terror and take the credit for it. A cartel wants what it wants and leaves no evidence.
SHOCK POLITICAL TWIST: the pilot was a political fanatic and a committed opposition activist - and this has led Malaysian police to investigate the possibility that he may have hijacked the plane as an extreme act of political protest.

There is a story in circulation that the pilot's wife left him the day before the date of the missing flight. Whether that's true or not, the Malaysian media have been reporting that the pilot's family have not been seen at the pilot's home since the flight was reported missing.

Not if the plane was turned around deliberately, as now appears to be the case. As for the new heading, those familiar with satellite signals think that most likely the plane turned south over the Indian Ocean, heading towards Australia, where it would presumably have run out of fuel and crashed.
The latest line of investigation is into the possibility of the plane being commandeered by remote control. That would make MH370 the world's first "cyber hijack", with hackers taking control of the plane remotely via the net or by mobile phone. It's being claimed that a framework of malicious codes could have overriden the aircraft’s security software.
Sometimes the simplest explanations are the best. Isn't this simply a case of the pilot freaking out?

I'd be curious to know if someone can actually argue that a pilot gone crazy is NOT the simplest theory.
