Yeah, Jack Jesse was always one I liked, but I guess he didn't make for very exciting tv. If he'd been any more laid back, he'd have been horizontal. I was disappointed when they ditched him (or maybe he didn't want to do the show any more).

He was class. He'd be half way up the Dalton in the dark, in a blizzard, pulling a trailer with half an oil rig on it and come out with something like "Yip.....................gets a little intense sometimes" eek

Didn't take Lisa long to work out he was the one to learn from.
Got the bugger! Big Grin

I hate the muppet with the blue mirkin sat on his head. I saw him in the Indian one and he was absolutely appalling, ignorant to other peoples country and cultures. Comes across as an aweful bully most of the time. Even Lisa had that these poeple are beneath me attitude occasionally.

Mirkin head should realise that buying some untouchables a water mellon, and throwing an had full of sweets out of the 4 massive jars he bought (no sweets for kids that day) does not make him a saint.

Whatever happend to him, he was so laid back he was horizontal.

Wonder if he ever got to poke Lisa in the back of her truck? Imagine getting to do that with a blizzard blowing outside, how cosy.

i like trucking

Prefer her dirty and covered in oil meself. Big Grin
Just seen Fridays show. Quite impressed with Lisa. While she's handled most things thrown at her, she always seemed to have that niggling self-doubt thing going on. No sign of it this time, though, when she had to push the low-loader out of the ditch. She just chained up and went for it. It would have been very easy to end up with her own truck in the ditch too.

Hugh having a pop at the Dalton drivers again Rolleyes. Tbf though, driving on the water is probably more dangerous (in a russian roulette sort of way) but, that said, the Dalton probably takes more skill.

Be interesting to see how Maya gets on, she seemed a bit blown away by her first look at the road but I think she's more chance of making the cut than Dave.
I can't understand how 'Mr Heart Attack' himself is still allowed to hold a license, much less get a job on the ice roads...??? He's probably had more bypasses than the A38...???

Are the laws different in Alaska/Canada to the UK..?? Or don't they care, as the life expectancy rate is so low in any case........??
I think Alex only had one successful heart op after falling ill in the 2nd (?) series. I imagine he's got proper medical clearance to drive.

I'd hire him ahead of Hugh or Rik any day.
Fridays highlights -

Lisa going down the Rollercoaster with an oversize load eek

Rick having to back-up for several miles after missing a turn-off because he didn't read his instructions Bounce

Maya in a bikini Tongue

The original and best Liza never had to resort to a bikini to get men to drool over her. Very cheap and tacky, she should take her cocky grin back to new york and become a table top dancer.

Was i the only one to take twisted delight in Rik missing his turning and having to reverse for 2 hours? Oh I see not! Big Laugh
bit harsh there mellover maya hasnt been on the ice roads yet. give her a chance. friday nights show sees maya hit the ice roads for the first time. the ice road truck companies wont have hired maya for just looking good in a bikini

that was good though i agree rick missing the turning and having to reverse backwards for miles. my fav thing this series though is the dave "the alabama slammer" constantly going on about his driving experience, doesnt like being treated as a rookie and it really pisses the experienced drivers off
