I've seen that. Punch up you say? Bounce

Be prepered for one of the best moments on any of the series. Big Grin
I just checked, and it seems the swearing incident investigated by Ofcom was on the History channel, not the Channel5 re-reruns.

Seems they have fallen foul twice previously, in 2011, with the same show, same problem, hence Ofcom taking a dim view this time round.
They want their heads screwed on right way them ofcom, most kids round here fill the day with more swear words then I'll use in a life time - and thats the toddlers.
so the trailer for next weeks show tells us that dave redneck/redman got the tin tack at last............. what took them so long, and why ruin our fun by keeping showing us next weeks highlights at the end of the previous episode..??? FFS!

nb. oh, and my daughter (8yrs old) don't swear... cause I'd kick her f****n ass if the little b***h swore in front of me..!! lol

I'm guessing the producers persuaded them to keep him on because he makes such good tv laugh
Knowing he got the sack hasn't really spoiled it. Can't wait for next weeks convo in the office with the boss now Wink

Must admit Rick would've racked up the swear count last night, if the bleeper hadn't been working. Don't think he was expecting the cameraman to face him down like that laugh
You know you're a poor driver when Hugh criticises your driving SurprisedBounce
And the big fight of the week ... wasn't dull Dave after all, it was Rik the prick.
I liked the way he went after the camera guy and the guy just stood his ground and said bring it on then fella, until Rik bottled it and backed off, and made himself look an even bigger dick than usual Smile

I liked his talking head bit as well 'all these random things seem to happen more to me'.
Yeah, 'random' things like not getting your own paperwork signed, and 'random' things like driving your own trailer into a ditch. Nothing random there buddy, we call it incompetence where I come from Big Grin

They do that all the time I think they do that so we will watch next episode last nights episode was the build up to him getting tin tacked tony making mountains out of mole hills.

Not being funny, but of course they show us next weeks highlights to make us watch it, I don't think there's any dispute about that.
I think the point is that it should be a taster only, it shouldn't give the game away. They could have shown Dave arguing with the bosses without showing him walking off having got booted. That still would have been enough encouragement to tune in next week for the fireworks, without spoiling the actual ending.

Back to this weeks episode, and Dave and the convoy, Tony does have a 'the world revolves around me' kind of attitude, but Dave was still in the wrong. He was sent out to run as part of a convoy to test the route after the snow. There is a lot of potential dangers along the way after weather like that, such as the avalanches etc, things that a rookie like Dave wouldn't be fully aware of (which raises the question why they sent 2 rookies on the convoy, probable answer for the tv cameras, what with Lisa being stuck at the other end of the road!). So, he should have stuck with the convoy for safety and tip-toed along under the leadership of the more experienced driver, like it or not.
Despite his 25 years of experience he still doesn't seem to grasp that this isn't just 'a dash for the cash', it really is about survival in those conditions, and he's putting his own life, and more worryingly, potentially other peoples lives, in danger by doing things HIS way, and showing no real respect to the conditions he's driving in.
the punchup was a bit of a dissapointment in the end when rick (not dave) went after the cameraman who films him in his truck, the cameraman stood his ground and rick bottled it. then minutes later him and the cameraman were best buddies. did laugh when he said more bad things happen to me for some reason

good to see dave redman back on form last night, tony tried to clear the air with him but dave wasnt having any of it and then when he was in a convoy with maya and tony, he really annoyed them both. Maya was taking things steady as she was doing her first run in her own truck which she hadnt any experience on and dave was whinging that maya was holding him up. Tony got annoyed by the way dave was stressing maya out and when dave broke off from the convoy twice to go on his own. as the trailer for next week has shown. dave does seem to have got the sack last night which isnt a surprise. he has the trucking experience but doesnt conduct himself in the right way on the ice roads and will put the other ice truckers at risk

as for the two ladies maya and lisa. lisa spent most of the episode stuck in her cab trapped in a snowstorm and then had a difficult trip back, maya did well on her first run in a new truck that she hadnt trained on and impressed tony who said she'll do well on the road
