Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take control. Across the sea, the last surviving members of the previously deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also plotting a return to power. The conflict between these families and others, including the Greyjoys, the Tullys, the Arryns, and the Tyrells, leads to war. Meanwhile, in the north, an ancient evil awakens. Amidst war and the political confusion, a brotherhood of misfits, The Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and the horrors beyond. its an amazing show
I downloaded the first four episodes of this a week ago, although I've still to get around to watching it. I'm not a massive fan of this style of show, but having viewed the trailer it looks like it could be okay, and the fact its an HBO production bodes well too.
it is very good it has fighting, sex (even though there brother and sister still hot) and a great story recomend too everyone
Bloody superb show
It's a great show, already got a second season.
My favourite character is Daenerys Targaryen, her story is one of the most interesting.
i think i would have to agree with u skully and she is very hot
Been watching its really good
Not seen it but I've read the books.

George Martin is an excellent writer and he creates a world with a huge cast of characters involved in very complex and brutal geopolitical/sexual intrigue and he is careful not to overplay the fantasy elements.

I'd highly recommend them.
Slow start...but the last two episodes had the action the show needed to keep the viewer interested. So far so good.
Yep.. the first few episodes are pretty much setting the scene, the pace picks up from episode 4. Pretty true to the books so far. Peter Dinklage is brilliant as Tyrion Lannister.
