Just about the best character in the whole series. His directness is kind of endearing. Mind you very few of the other characters have made it as far as he has
I've just seen last nights Thronecast.
The guest was Mike McElhatton (Roose Bolton).
Shocked to see that he's another Irish actor. But not really surprising as it's filmed there.
In recent weeks, it's become apparent that Jon Snow REALLY should have stayed in that cave. Let's face it, when faced with a winter full of death and zombies, or a sheltered cave with a hot spring and a gorgeous redhead for company, I know what I'd be choosing.

Stannis has well and truly lost the plot now, if he hasn't already, hasn't he? Hopefully Ser Davos comes back and sorts him out. I always liked his relationship with Shireen.

"My Father would have liked you" - my favourite like of the show. I love you Tyrion Lannister, God of Tits & Wine.

It's not a diversion from the books. In the making of/behind the scenes show that aired on hbo, game of thrones show runners said this scene with shireen being burned at the stake happens in the next got book.

Thought it was a very good episode last night setting things up very nicely for the season finale next week. Lots of interesting things that need resolving/answering
I have never read any of the books but some of my friends are great fans of them and we discuss what happens in the show and the differences from the books after each episode. The TV series is starting to depart from the storyline in the books quite dramatically, leaving out important characters and changing pivotal moments. There was no need for what happened last night and was only there for shock value.
the live burning of the girl was more shocking than the rape scene at the end of ep7. the problem is that the author was written another 2 books which have not been published. writers of shows based on books always end up moving away from the books in some way, true blood, dexter, vampire diaires moved away from the books. I think the writers think they know what is best for the show which sometimes is not the right thing to do, Lafayette in the books of true blood dies but the show writers kept him alive has he became a popular character.
To be fair, they did have their food stocks diminished, she could have provided a nice snack for some one.
a totally wow WTF Ending eekeekeekeekeekeekeekeek

Will makes Rammys Head Explode lol
A shocking if not unexpected finale.
