G@Z! Wrote:to be honest i never really understood lost so stopped watching it

I still don't understand it. No-one does.
firekind Wrote:its like a jigsaw of bits. in this day and age where a brilliant show like firefly dies after a season its pretty great to have a show that is one big puzzle that bits keep getting added to in no particular order. its ballsy to say the least. i think its great storytelling

I mostly agree with you, and credit where it's due, they do address and answer questions occasionally, and when they get it right the show is damn near unbeatable. Plus, Benjamin Linus is a fantastic character - you genuinely don't know where he's coming from or what he's up to, and it is fun when a show keeps you on your toes. But I do sometimes get the feeling they're just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.
firekind Wrote:we are being shown time travel but only as far as 1977. how far does it really go?

Depends. How old do you think that three-toed statue is?
I just read the Lost page on wikipedia and it said that series 6 will be the last http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_(TV_series)

In a way Im glad its finally going to end, I just hope it is a satisfactory ending and not another cliff hanger, so that they can do a sequel if they feel like it.
I really like Lost but I would hate to think how many hours Ive spent watching it (at least with 24 one day get finished (sort of Haha) before another one starts)
Just watched it last night and it seems that every episode has some huge jaw dropping revelation. I also get a bit confused with the "time
changes" especially if you miss "xx days years earlier" messages. I sometimes wonder if the Writers even know what is happening one episode to the next, or just make it up as they go along

Even so I am a Big Fan
can anyone tell me what episode number last night's was please? ie, series 5 epsidode 11/24

I'm gonna try and download it you see? Im gutted i missed last noght's episode, my sky has been cut off, I was £2 short in my account when they tried to debit it Sad
Can't pay the bill until Friday.

Oh, and i loved the scene before with ben in the Temple. And I really miss the character Mr Ecko, he was awesome!

Sorry to hear about problems
Episode was called The Variable and is No 14 according to Sky
I just hope it doesn't turn out that someone has just had a dream
I thought the season finale was pretty good Big Grin - made me glad I'd stuck with it through some of the earlier seasons when my interest was wavering.

One more season to go now, isn't it? I'm really looking forward to it; seems like there's going to be a lot to pack into 17(?) episodes.

Lots of loose ends to explain - and a little niggle makes me hope they revisit those wild polar bears from season 1 Wink

I did read somewhere they've had the entire plotline mapped out from the start. I'm not completely convinced at times, though...
