Yes that must be right, since if no play was possible the number of runs scored in the day would be 0 so the prediction closest to 0 would have to be the winner.

The winner of the cricket competition is Charlemagne who predicted that 239 runs would be scored today in the England-Sri Lanka test match and was only 1 run out from the 240 runs that were scored.

An honourable mention goes to Gold Plated Pension who was the runner up in this competition with a prediction of 227 runs and as he won the last competition he wasn't far away from a weekend double.

Charlemagne's prize for winning is a free pass for Shebang TV either tonight (with Nikita Devine and Lucy B) or tomorrow (with Amanda Rendall and Alexandra).

I spent a long time working out how many they would score... then I threw the calculations away and just guessed like everyone else.

Good news - another free pass is up for grabs for this weekend for Shebang TV on Saturday 4 June (with Emily B and Stacey Lacey) or on Sunday 5 June (with Lucy B and Alexandra).

To enter this time you need to submit a Formula 1 driver from the current year's driver rankings and the highest ranked driver chosen uniquely will be the winning entry. In other words if you submit Sebastian Vettel and nobody else submits him you'll be the winner, as no other choice could beat you, but if someone else chooses Sebastian Vettel as well your choice won't be unique and you accordingly won't win. If there are no unique choices the highest ranked Formula 1 driver with only 2 submissions will be the winning choice and so on until a winning driver is found. In such cases we will organise a tiebreak to decide on which member has made the winning submission.

If you want to enter then PM your chosen driver to the same account as used previously: 50000.

The competition will close at 8:00 in the evening on Thursday (2 June). Good luck to anyone who enters.
