guys quick techno question, how u capping stuff and posting on here whilst still recording the rest of the show? what u guys do amazes me sometimes cos i havnt got a clue lol Wink

Well, there's no easy way to answer this one. But I'll give it a shot.

It depends on what type of capture device you are using. There are basically 2 types, screen and stream. Screen capture, means it captures a designated area of your monitor, and therefore must be visible at all times. Stream capture, records the stream direct from it's source, and is therefore done in the background, and does not have to be visible.

There is a third method, if your capturing from a satellite system, which requires a capture card to be installed. And that also works in the background.

I use all three methods, one for caps, and two for video. And on occasion all at the same time.

That was from the Sky+ Recording tony, Recorded and capped from my Pinnacle video capture device with a USB 4GB flash stick attached for the saving of the video.

Around £100 NOW, It can be purchased from various online shopping outlets it has reduced in price since i bought mine.
I bought my device from QVC home shopping channel as it was around £40 cheaper than the manufacteres website. (The beauty is you do not need a PC to use it):

I also use Ashampoo Snap 4 for screen capping and what you see is what you get web Stream recording etc, As well as Applian Replay Media Catcher and Replay Video capture for direct download of webstream recording, as well as Streaming star Hi-Download Platinum and FLV recorder. (FLV is used for the more harder to download streaming sites)!!.
